I would say the media is not responsible for pushing any agenda that doesn’t make them money. The idea that networks are politically driven is only true to the extent their bottom line benefits from it, which it does. So again, they don’t actually care about the politics, they care about ratings.
....
I heard that for about 20 years, back in the day when they were no alternative news sources and every outlet was liberal. Liberals kept saying "Hey, they tell stories that make money. If there were a market for something else, don't you think someone would capitalize on it? What's wrong with your free market?"
But there were no free markets. There was limited public bandwidth and Democrats had set up Equal Time and Fairness Doctrine rules which effectively locked out anyone who challenged liberal orthodoxy.
Then along came Reagan. He killed the fairness doctrine, and Limbaugh immediately popped up on the radio as a conservative voice ... and his audience grew and grew and grew ... and he got richer and richer and richer ... and not ONE old school Main Stream Media outlet made any attempt to take Limbaugh's market share from him ... proving that there had ALWAYS been a market for a different take on the news, that it had been explicitly suppressed for decades, and that the MSM wasn't driven by the bottom but are there only to push a liberal agenda.
Even today we see the old school MSM burning every last ounce of their dwindling credibility trying to take down Trump and demonize conservatives. What will they do when all of their credibility has been burned to ashes?
Once again I have been proven right, and I was right back when I got no help from any national conservative voices. I had to see that on my own. I escaped the Maze at a very early age. When do liberals apologize to me for getting that wrong? Where do I go to collect my Nobel Prize for political science?
