If Trump had been told about the FBI plants, then I would accept the "informants" label. Since he wasn't, they were spies.
Exactly! Spys! S.P.Y.s
They're everywhere!
Thank you, Lying Gary! You are trying your best to wake up the sheeple to the dangers of the DEEP STATE.! You are a TRUE patriot!
I will have to refer back to one of my old posts to explain Gary's delusion. When you are a simpleton, easy explanations can stick, no matter how incorrect. If it seems to make sense, then just buy it and don't argue. Another simpleton trait is the inability to dig into anything that involves any type of complexity (like differentiating between informant and spy).
Using the Spygate example:
1. Gary discovers Trump said the FBI planted spies in his campaign
2. His first reaction is to just believe it because it fits the narrative he likes (that is common)
3. When Trump's assertion is immediately debunked, even by Republicans in the House Intelligence Committee, Gary puts his earmuffs on
4. Then Gary doubles down by searching for some uncorroborated explanation or resorts to blaming Hillary/Obama and crying double standard
5. Then someone like me or Flagpole explains that even with simpleton logic the truth is clear:
A. the FBI did exactly what it does when it gets the kind of information they did - they followed up (agreed by GOP)
B. The FBI commonly uses informants - you can say spy a million times but informant will not turn into spy (agreed by the whole planet)
C. The FBI does not always alert those involved. They don't want the word to spread and they don't want the candidate associated with bad publicity (agreed by all except the conspiracy nuts)
6. Gary cannot argue these points and refers to different treatment in Hillary's investigation and the deep state.
7. #5 and #6 keep repeating in a loop
