See my previous post. Also, seems to me that any parent that would put their child in that situation to begin with isn't much of a parent, and really has no place even being one.

This should be the end of the thread. But, you know, butthurtstuff must go on. LOL
The reason this is coming to the fore right now is because the Trump administration is making the problem much worse. Already, the immigration courts are grossly overcrowded. The right thing to do would be to hire more judges.
Instead, the Trump administration has just decreed that judges must handle an even larger case load. They will be required to dispense with at least 700 cases per year to even get a satisfactory performance review. This will inevitably lead to more injustice and more deportations for people who really do deserve asylum. And of course, it will lead to more murders when these defendants return home.
Donald Trump is godless, heartless, and sleazy. He needs to go. This is not what America stands for.

Interesting article, looked at several like it, as well as some demographic data. Wasn't aware it was an issue. That being said, this issue predates Trump by a number of years, thus not quite sure what Trump has to do with it. In any event, this opens a whole new can of worms, IE just why should the US provide free of charge, a lawyer for anyone, particularly a non citizen? If local lawyers or the ACLU want to do this pro bono, thats their option. Looks like a court decided that the US does not have to provide free lawyers, per a 2018 decision. Again, nothing to do with Trump.
The issue does predate this administration, however, if we recognize that the right to counsel to necessary in criminal court, why is it hard to agree that it's necessary in immigration court? Do you think it's reasonable that the government considers minors incapable of handling their own affairs in almost every setting except in immigration proceedings?
Hello Hillary lovers. Still butt hurt?
Trump’s approval is above 50%!!!!!
You lose again, hillary lovers!!!!!
And as was already noted, Trump is forcing judges to clear 700 cases per year, meaning that judges cannot wait for defendants to get proper counsel. That is an act by Trump's Justice Department. It intentionally ignores any right to legal counsel, and ignores the official laws regarding processing of proper asylum cases.
Trump Jr.: Can you believe the hell I’m going through? I’m at the Playboy Mansion with a pregnant wife! It doesn’t get worse than that, does it?
Q: Are you attracted to your stepmother?
Trump Jr.: I think she’s a very lovely lady.
Q: Have you ever thought about killing your dad for his money?
Trump Jr.: Well, you know.

Ordering the National Guard to the border is one of the most ridiculous Trump initiatives to date. Ironically, he can't even boast having the highest incarceration rates, that award goes to Obama. Trumpsters can refuse to believe that but it's still true. This is a chest pump move that only serves to waste taxpayer dollars, further politicize our military, and most importantly for Trump to look like he's doing something.
In other news, he is still supporting Pruitt 100%. That promise to drain the swamp for the likes of Gary, yeah right. But Trumpsters will continue to support Pruitt too, well because they think the Orange One is a billionaire, and therefore he must be a genius, and therefore they won't question anything he does.
Lately I've been seeing a similar defense from Trumpsters: let the guy do his job, we haven't given him time to produce the results yet. It has gone from
a) "He is a billionaire businessman and outsider, so surely he'll do a great job and he's going to drain the swamp." Then when it became clear to them he might just not be up to the task:
b) "Well HRC is a crook so there's no way I could have voted for her. As long as he breaks the system it will all be worth it." Then when they realized he's really that dumb and not only does he have no clue what his job means, he has zero desire to learn it:
c) "The MSM is making everything up, he's doing a great job but everyone is trying to stop him including his own party." Then when it became obvious he's just simply doesn't care about the GOP or their agenda:
d) "The deep state is hard at work to remove this great man from the WH. He may not know what he's doing, but at least he's standing up for America."
There will always be a defense, no matter how silly this circus gets...
What I don't understand is why conservatives think any of his immigration measures (besides the visa blocking last year) are that great. Statistically, Obama got much more done for anti-immigrants than Trump. Trump was supposed to come in and implement some sweeping grand plan. Not a single proposal of his has included any measure to fix the status of the 10+ million illegals. You would think that would be the most pressing issue by far given the numbers and all the claims he has made about how bad people from his so-called non-preferred countries are. Trumpsters are delusional.
And others have pointed out that 'collusion' is a common term used in legal circles with 'conspiracy against the US' the likely crime as it related to the Trump/Russia investigation. That said, here's an article about the possibility of collusion being a crime:

This is true. Good lord, Reagan never cozied up to the enemy.
Kevin Williamson, professional troll and recent Atlantic hire, has now been fired after the editors realized that conservatives... actually mean the things they say! All Kevin wants to do is violently execute roughly 25% of the American female population. Why are liberals so afraid of having civil conversations about this?
The "Down with the Dow" thread is going down soon.

Perhaps you can weave a tale and make it easy for me to understand? Because as of right this moment, I don't see it.
Yep...that is collusion.
Trump Jr. knew the meeting was supposed to give him dirt on Hillary. He knew they were Russians with connections to the Russian government. He wrote this - "...if it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer". Improperly left out commas aside, the important part of this is NOT the "I love it" part, but the "especially later in the summer" part. He is telling the Russians WHEN it would be best to release the Hillary dirt. The purpose of that being to hurt Hillary and help Donald J. Trump.
We have two willing actors, and one who loves it - Russians and Don Jr.
We have the dangled dirt and Don jr. telling them when to release it.
Collusion. Without question that is collusion.
Whether it rises to the level of a charge of conspiracy from Mueller is another issue, but that is collusion.
Says the guy who posted "ZERO chance of him finishing his first term" and then tries to deny it. Hilarious on all levels.
No, it's not collusion, even if it is, it's not collusion.

I don't think you have a clue what a liberal is and a conservative is.
But keep posting and wasting your life away, it's fun to watch.

Manafort is going to trial. Others are cooperating. Dutch lawyer is going to jail. There have been a number of indictments and, in reality, the investigation is moving quite rapidly.
No one ever said that 'collusion' isn't still on the table. Manafort is charged with conspiracy among other things.
Nothing has changed. Conspiracy. Money laundering. Obstruction of justice.
Yep. Conspiracy is still the hardest of those to prove. Mueller has hired a lot of lawyers who are experts in money laundering. That was not an accident.
Trump and his businesses have been rumored to be big money launderers for years, but he has never had his finances looked at so carefully as they are now.
If Trump is innocent of all of this stuff, then he must have wanted underworld types to believe he was doing this kind of thing, for some sort of street cred, and if that's the case and he really hasn't laundered money or really hasn't obstructed justice (there is only obstruction, not attempted obstruction) then more power to him with regard to NOT being a criminal. He will still remain a horrible human being, but we shall see if he's the criminal most people believe him to be. I will, of course, apologize to him here and admit I was wrong if we find out he is indeed innocent of any of this.
Time will tell.

It is without question collusion. It's the very definition of collusion...Mueller has even more though.
I haven't denied anything. I will admit to having fun with some of you with the ZERO chance of him finishing his first term (but I was dead serious when saying that with regard to the 2016 election, and so far I have been proven wrong on that; time will tell if that remains true), but if you want to take me literally there, fine. Still could happen that he doesn't finish his first term. He is in BIG trouble.
I still have NEVER put a time frame on Mueller and his work. He can take this investigation into a second Trump term for all I care. I have patience to wait for the truth, and so should all of you.
Trump will not skate.
Mueller is coming.
The clown is done. Believe it, for it is true.

Actually his most favorable poll, Rassmussen has him at 47% today (well, as of yesterday), and the RCP average is 41.5%.
