Except that Clinton got 2.9 million votes more than Trump. If it were not for the stupid electoral college and voter suppression, the GOP would be singing a different tune right now. Not that I think Clinton would have been such a great POTUS, but she is not a fascist.
Republicans shouldn't be too happy about this one. It will ultimately be clearer that this was not a win for the GOP. The party has been facing a growing identity crisis. It all seemed to culminate with Trump's nomination win. Roll the tape back and all you heard was how butt hurt the GOP was and that Trump essentially highjacked it. Leadership was missing and there was no central message. The Freedom Caucus had taken permanent footprint and had only exacerbated the GOP's problems. The GOP has half heartedly welcomed Trump as the savior, but in reality he is a very frail bandage. Look at this first debacle with Trumpcare. It is only the beginning. Trump will prop them up (they can point the finger when push comes to shove) for the next 4 years, but their internal issues are only worsening. The party is crawling with dissenters, racists, and above-the-law and morally corrupt politicians. Who is the leader? No one knows, it is a $hit show. Trump's presence is not only delaying the inevitable, it will make the fall that much worse. Can't wait.
