He ran as a law & order candidate. US crime rates are half what they were 25 years ago; if the downward trend continues or even accelerates on his watch, I'd say that's a success.
Try to keep up. Stop reading leftist fake news. Obama has turned that downward trend. 800 killings just in his hometown last year.
This is a pretty cogent post and perhaps even true. The problem is that it is better than anything Trump or any of his aides, speechwriters, and spokesmen have articulated yet so far, so you ought to apply for a job with his team. If Trump really does stand stands for "competence," "first-class," and "get-it-done corporate-executive professionalism" he should fire the lackeys who have earned themselves (and him) a Grade Z so far. An inauguration speech ripped off from the Dark Knight? That parade.... jeeze. The CIA appearance--WTF? The press conferences--really?

Draining the swamp means trying out new people.
How about hiring talented people and holding them accountable? "Person in charge of making sure people show up to my parade--you're fired!"
To all the women march fans/supporters on this thread, why did the women NOT protest the following, huh?

Because they didn't elect the man holding the chain as the president of the United States?Do you think that might be the reason?

You don't see a reversing landslide in two years, huh? Fact is, this election was all Dem until the Repubs were gifted Trump, who understood an electorate that NOBODY saw out there.
Now, problem is, that electorate is shrinking in a hurry, and the one that will vote Dem until their dying day is growing, and coming here from points South. Just like nobody knew what hit them when Trump showed up and won it, you and everyone else won't know what hit them when you never win another presidential race.
Sorry.

Draining the swamp means trying out new people.
Did they have to start with an incompetent screening process? Seriously.
Hiring overt racists and plagiarists among a host of fundamental character flaws suggests "new people" isn't the problem.
It's a leadership problem.

Haha. Man, I love these posts. I had some time yesterday to check out what's going on over in the Republican party. This image is on quite a few Republican party Twitter feeds, simultaneously, about the time of Saturday's marches, with the identical totally broken logic .
So, we either have a truly mindless follower, or, a Republican party Internet Community Coordinator. Flip a coin.
The last time a presidency started out with an opposition this large and this angry, 620,000 people died.
Let's hope Putin's Puppet doesn't try to top it.
I actually agree with much of what you said and some of it I don't agree but don't feel like a counterpunch at this time. If the left wants things to change, they have to mobilize and strategize. I think a lot of people that are angry and marched yesterday realize this and it will show in 2 or 4 years. The biggest issues to address are the gerrymandering and shutting down people with insults or labels or indignation. I would love for the two party stranglehold to go the way of the dodo, but that probably won't happen.
Great day for Donald Trump. He decided to withdraw from the negotiating process of the Trans Pacific Partnership and reinstated the Mexico City anit abortion rule. He's already making America great again.
You can't make this sh*t up...

Such a great idea. Unity behind our new great President.
1. Trump Tower is on 666 Fifth Avenue, New York City
2. The Tower also happens to measure 666 feet tall
3. Trump inherited his grandmother’s real estate empire when she died on June 6, 1966 = 6-6-6
4. The billionaire tycoon announced his candidacy for president on June 16, 2015 = 6 + (1×6) + (1+5) = 6-6-6
5. And the year 2016 when he won the US election = 666+666+666+6+6+6
Only true statement is #4.
