Off the topic of Trump, but is there a more important topic than whether one believes in God or not.
I am convinced that there is a God but my belief is very different than the teachings of any traditional church. I think man is searching and most religions have some small piece of truth but mostly are fooling themselves with the dogma they believe.
At some point, if I thought my post wouldn't get deleted I would explain why I am convinced there is a God.
I think a big problem is that people don't define what they mean by "God"--so people literally don't know what they're arguing about!
Most, but by no means all, people accord God contradictory attributes. Such a being cannot exist, any more than a married bachelor can. As one example, many people say they worship a being that is both all-powerful and all-knowing--of course, it is not possible to know the future unless it is fixed, in which case the being would be powerless to change it.
But, to bring this back to the thread topic, we know it is possible for a being to be essentially all-powerful and all-unknowing--we've got one in the White House now!
