"Progressives" are scary as hell wrote:
"Progressives" would absolutely exterminate conservatives and other "non-conformists" if they could legally get away with it. This is NOT tinfoil hat stuff. We see it on TV, social media, and in the streets constantly. They're everywhere. -- Antifa, university professors, teachers, Hollywood celebs, musicians, tech execs.
The left see themselves as elite humans, who are intellectually and morally superior to everyone else. Look at the way they incessantly and constantly mock and deride those who dare disagree with them. You see it on this awful thread. Nontrumper, flagpole, trollminator. To them, eliminating opposing views and speech (and people) becomes not only justifiable, but an ethical duty to society.
They have a simple plan: 1.Dehumanize 2.Disarm 3.Dispose of
1) Dude you are so wrong.
2) I have frequently said on this thread that a powerful 2-party system is best and that I wouldn't want one party (either party) to dominate power. I have even consistently praised Republican John Kasich as a great option for president. So, at least with regard to me, you don't read and understand too well.
3) It is so disingenuous to label "university professors" as promoting a liberal agenda. There are so many conservative colleges (religious ones, ones that just get a largely conservative student base) in this country that it is unreal. And then, if you are in a Red state and go to a state college there, you will find at least 50% of the students and professors who have conservative views. This idea that all colleges are liberal is insane. I will admit that most of the best colleges lean liberal, and some of those are VERY liberal, but that's because liberal people are smarter. Sorry, it's true. As liberal as some colleges are, there are an equal number of very conservative colleges like Liberty University or any of the Olivets, or Hillsdale College, a ton of conservative Catholic colleges, ALL of the "Christian" colleges (not ones that just have a Christian founding, but those who espouse "learning and growing in Christ",) and on and on and on.
4) Teachers (and I assume you mean high school teachers) are just about as representative of the society in their state as a whole. They may have more liberal ideas about education, but that's just funding the thing that pays them and that they felt important enough to make their vocation.
5) Hollywood Celebs? More than half are liberal yes, but there are a LOT of them who are conservative...Schwarzenegger, Vince Vaughn, John Voit, Chuck Norris, Adam Sandler, Dennis Miller, Kelsey Grammer, Gary Sinise, Tom Seleck, James Caan, Patricia Heaton, Sylvester Stallone, Laura Prepon, Jim Belushi, Larry Miller, Yakoff Smirnoff, David Lynch, Angie Harmon, George Hamilton, Drew Carey, Lorne Michaels, Jessica Simpson, Bill Engvall, Andy Garcia, Mel Gibson, Tom Berenger, Dennis Franz, Ben Stein, Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworthy, Stephen Baldwin, James Woods, Heather Locklear, Kirk Cameron, Craig T. Nelson, Kurt Rusell, Paul Sorvino, Ron Silver, Gail O'Grady, Scott Baio, Dean Cain, Kevin Sorbo, Gerald McRaney, Jaclyn Smith, Joe Pesci, Rip Torn, Fred Grandy, Jamie Farr, Danny Aiello, Shirley Jones, Hunter Tylo, Jackie Mason, Hal Holbrook, Bruce Boxleitner, Chelsea Noble, Richard Lee Jackson, Jonathan Jackson, Sela Ward, Jon Cryer, just to name a few. Of course Charlton Heston was the President of the NRA at one point and famously said they could take his guns from his "cold, dead hands".
6) Musicians? Republican musicians include Ted Nugent, Kid Rock, Gene Simmons, just about ALL country music stars, Dave Mustaine. Sammy Hagar, Joe Perry, Kelly Clarkson, LL Cool J, Alice Cooper, Gloria Estefan, Nick Lachey, Hilary Duff, Jessica Simpson, Taylor Swift, Meat Loaf, Jeff Baxter, Cowboy Troy, Bobby Steele, Brittany Spears, Wayne Newton, Joe Escalante, 50 Cent, Jon Secada, Lee Ving, Michale Graves, Prodigy, just to name a few.
7) Tech execs? Again, I will grant you that most are liberal, but that's because it takes a very smart person to be a tech execs, but there are Republican ones - Peter Thiel, Larry Ellison, Meg Whitman, Marc Andreessen, Tom Siebel, Tim Draper, John Rampton, Susan Amat, Scott Slinker, Andrew Torba, Keith Rabois, Eric Jackson, Brian Krzanich, Chris Abrams, Aaron Ginn, Don Scifres, Tim Armstrong, Palmer Luckey, Scott Banister, Garrett Johnson, Sarah Pompei, Paul Otellini, Steve Ballmer, Scott McNealy, Michael Dell, Mark Cuban (even though he supported Hillary, he did that mostly because he felt Trump was stupid and shouldn't be president. Initially he tried to help Trump, but he discovered that Trump had no willingness or ability to learn. He has discussed running himself as a Republican and he has been a life long Republican), just to name a few.
8) I'll add talk radio to this -- talk radio is DOMINATED by conservative hosts and views.
I though Republicans were supposed to be tough and make their own way. All I see are people like you who complain that so and so is liberal, and then Trump cries that he's so unfairly picked on. Put on your big boy pants, brother!
Mueller is coming.
The clown is done.
