well really Trump didn't win because of the deplorables...he won because blacks and hispanics did not show up to vote in Detroit, Philly and Miliwaukee.
If their turnout had been close to what it was for Obama, HRC would have won easily. But it wasn't.
Importantt to note that Trump won not by his strength, but by HRC's weakness in three cities.

I don't think it will pass, but if it does it will not be something that keeps any of his campaign promises on health care.
Either way, Trump looks like a very poor deal maker indeed!
"it will not be something that keeps any of his campaign promises on health care"??? Are you for real, man? Have you not been paying attention at all?
Reality does not matter to the Trumpettes. Broken promises are meaningless to the Trumpettes. Go back and read the posts of the insane one - "Drink..." THAT is a Trumpette.
Trump WILL declare victory. A YUGE Victory. And the Trumpettes WILL cheer.

not necessarily true. Trump's approval fell 11 points in two weeks, per one poll anyway. he is not immune from the laws of politics.

New lows for trump approval: 42.4 per RCP average.
That Rasmussen poll you trumpers were singling out? It's down to 44% approval. Still care to underline and support that poll?
I suspect even you people will join the disapprovers at some point.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html44% is not bad. If you put 1 million people in a room, that's 440,000 who approve of Trump. That'a a lot of people!
What if you put them in a barn? Would that still be a lot of people?
What if you put just 10 people in a room (sorry, my living room is not that yuge)? Then would the 4.4 of them still be a lot of people?
Your observation is just so profound - so much said in so few words!
Correct. The rural "rednecks", "deplorables", etc. only represent like 15% of the population. Making this group the enemy was the Dems' biggest strategic error. The suburbs represent 50% of the population, and Trump won there, especially in the Great Lakes and Midwest regions where their daily concerns are far, far different than in the NY/DC Beltway.
The Dems F'd up big time by going all in on pretty extreme identity politics. They amped it up to 11, and it imploded because the blacks and Hispanics don't actually feel like the Left has done anything significant for them.

If the Health Care bill doesn't pass, it's much more of a loss for Ryan than Trump. Ryan's been railing against Obamacare since 2008, and then had to campaign against it again as a VP candidate in 2012, and then became Speaker with one of his main goals being to repeal and replace Obamacare.
He's much more invested in it and ideologically alaigned against it than Trump. Trump probably couldn't care less (sadly).
agreed on the ID politics. Every time HRC listed 12 different groups of people but never mentioned white people she lost another county.
I suspect that kind of list also cost her among blacks - they elect Dem presidents and they want to be at the center, not just another group on a list.
more winning today, Trumpers. New lows in Trump approval and the health care bill is failing again.
Down to 20 cents on the dollar in betting markets.
show your faith in the orange deer leader - you can make a lot of money if you are right.
(but: Ryan is walking over to the WH right now to speak with the deer leader - I suspect he is saying the game is over.)

They actually BELIEVED this stuff. That's why they voted for him. Well, that and a generic hatred of "libruhls".
He won't deliver for them but it won't matter. They're too stupid to figure it out.

I think it's a big loss for the Republican party in general. I believe every single one of the 17 Republican candidates said they would repeal and replace Obamacare. It was like a broken record.
What this failure does is highlight the wide gulf of philosophical differences in the party. There is no unity. It also shows that both Trump and Ryan are not all that powerful. I congratulate those Representatives that held their ground and didn't cave in under political pressure.
Now Trump will create a massive diversionary controversy to change the headlines away from his failure. God help us.

Why haven't any of you on the Left brought up the Koch brothers' warning to those Republicans that vote for the health care bill? Remember, before Trump, they were your "evil" scapegoats. But now that they're against Trump passing a bill, you're silent on them?
Um, you really are a typical mouth-breathing Trumpet aren't you? Before you make a statement you should at least read the post from this AM. You missed this one which brings up the Koch's.....
