Is Bekele's brother still at Norfolk State? If so he could be a good darkhouse pick if he ever ends up competing.

Eduardo "Lalo" Herrera of Colorado. Ran 4:04.99 for full mile last spring.
Opened up his season with a 4.26 mile at the Potts invitational. Rocha ran 4.22 - not sure what to make of those results.
Emmanuel Korir
I am going to go with Isaac Cortez has good foot speed and knows how to finish won the 800 and 1600 at the CA state meet. Runs for Stanford.

Don't sleep on Stanford's Isaac Cortes!! Almost took down Jenkins in the 1k & believe he ran 2:23 HIGH since Jenkins had 2:23.95.. I'm sure with more competition it would've been a 2:21-2:22
Grant Fisher, breakout redshirt Freshman in indoors 2017. And yes, still 19 years old.
Issac Cortes is really good.
Stanford is becoming the best mid-d/distance program in the NCAA (men and women)
Red shirt freshman Kyle Mau from Indiana ran 4:02 in the mile last week, definitely capable of going sub 4 which would be quite the break out.

shouldn't an athlete or team from Stanford actually win something before making this kind of claim?
Alex Lomong ... Ohio State
I second Lomong

True, I may have jumped the gun so to speak. They are beginning to show well with the men placing 2,3,2 at XC nationals. The women have the young talent to be dominant in the near future. The men have outstanding recruits and are a young team. Yes I am a Stanford fan.

http://www.flotrack.org/article/50917-a-utep-freshman-just-broke-a-world-record#.WILSh9QrKt8Honestly im picking matt willig. Ned's younger brother has the thighs of a thoroughbred and the engine to match. Easily see him getting around 1:13 for the 600m this year.
you heard it here first
Bryce Millar out of Indiana is looking pretty nice at 8:02/13:59 so far.
TFRRS has him listed as a freshman (would be a redshirt), but also has marks for him from last year, so I don't know how that plays out.

Really? This is your prediction AFTER Korir ran the world record? How good is this Millar kid?

He's 8:02/13:59 good. Was there anything else you needed help with?

He is one minute away from the world record...
Although 13:59 is very good.
Korir's world record > 13:59

600m < mid-d/distance

Ok, lets see how he does at 800m this year... you may end up being right. We'll check in again in a few months.

super frosh Ruby stauber ran a 2:04 800m in vandy in her first college race this past weekend. Could she contend for an NCAA title?
I agree, just saw her run 4:43 in the mile this weekend and she looked like she was jogging for most of it. Never seen a sub 4:45 look so smooth. Not bad for a true freshman this early on in the season!
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
