Correction: Lewis also won the 800 title outdoor.

Rojoe, just cuz you live in charm city doesn't mean you have to have the mindset of a baltimoran. We're gonna need a little bit more than based on my source. Your source could be some idiot on the boards or your dim wit brother for all we know
Whoa whoa whoa. I thought 'rojoe' was the dimwit brother.
I agree on Devin Dixon of Texas A and M. 1:47 or better indoors.

Let's just hope he's better than the recent 800 stars coming out of PA.
Here some interesting info for you via another source I have with ties to PA. NoOt the initial source.
He wrote that "The past 8 state champs coming out of PA have not done well (in college)."
Magaha (148 hs/Upenn), Mallon (149 hs/Stanford), Cho (150hs/Cornell), Endress (151 hs/PSU).
None of those guys ever broke their HS 800 pr in college.
2015 AAA state champ John Lewis ran 1:48.17 to better his hs PR. Also got to regionals in the open 8 and helped Clemson to 4x4 titles in the ACC who went on to get 5th at NCAA's. Sam Ritz and Alek Sauer (also 2015 800m stars) both had pr's their freshman year last year as well at Columbia university. When you say "recent" stars, maybe don't reference athletes from 6 years ago.
Don't sleep on Stanford's Isaac Cortes!! Almost took down Jenkins in the 1k & believe he ran 2:23 HIGH since Jenkins had 2:23.95.. I'm sure with more competition it would've been a 2:21-2:22

I wonder if she is planning on running barefoot on the track like Zola did in the Olympics. I see a lot of potential for her in the 10k.

Oh boy.
Kid has two moms?
I predict he flops.
Your boy Peretta ran 2:23 today in the Nittany Lion Challenge 1k. Only a second behind Joe White and Isaiah Harris. Not too shabby.
Not sure he'll be the next breakout star but I'd wager he's the most undertrained freshman with PR's in that range. Beaver Falls is a poor ex-mill town school district with no history of MD or distance running success. His senior year was the only year they fielded a full XC roster and their second man was 7 minutes behind him. Yes 7. Gives you an idea of his training environment. I believe one of the better local coaches has helped him out but he certainly has not had the benefits of coaching that other top 800/1600 runners in the state had. Hope he turns some heads. Has a rep not only as a great runner but also as a great kid too.
ATTENTION ALL COLLEGE COACHES:
Recruit Jake Merrell from Turkey Valley, TX. He is the nation's best kept secret. If anyone has watched him run they would all agree.
You guys don't even know basic stuff about the sport so maybe work on that first. You will be wrong about Peretta and Slag will be much faster if healthy.
Emmanuel Korir, UTEP 1:46.5 already this indoor season. Believe he was 8th in the last Kenyan trials for 800m.

On one hand, Wade Endress got to do speed work with Brady Gehret in high school while also running 25 - 30 miles a week. On the other hand, its unfair to paint him as a mid d guy who flamed out in high school. He took his mile PR down by 10 seconds and ran competitive 1500s while banging out solid cross country seasons. I think its more fair to say he shifted his focus. Give the kid some credit.
Eduardo "Lalo" Herrera of Colorado. Ran 4:04.99 for full mile last spring.

And he just edged out the athlete special guy.

Spencer Brown is the man!
rojo, you've got to be kidding me. you are acting like you and your source aka deep throat are all kinds of prophetic. 2:23!!!! and this is supposed to be the next freshman setting the world on fire? What did brazier run for his early season 800 last year?
Women: Rainsberger already had a massive XC season, and Christian Aragon is poised to become the female Grant Fisher for '17.
