Explain how this is a troll idiot
John Paul Jones, Cornell U. In Ithaca, NY. World mile record twice.
I can discuss I was replying to someone else who insulted me yet provided no reason as to why I'm a "moran".
I'm just tired of people who idolize Pre and act like he was the only good thing to come out of Oregon. The U of O is a distance-running mecca and has produced huge names like Galen Rupp, Matthew Centrowitz, and Ashton Eaton. People like Mo Farah have come from all over the world to train in this state and it's not just because Pre was here it's because Nike has their headquarters and elite special training camps over here.
If you guys really knew what you were talking about you would agree with me on the undisputed fact that Oregon is a distance powerhouse and has produced many elite runners. They win National Championships like nothing and have been dominating the distance events for quite some time now. It's insulting to compare the U of O to schools like Bowling Green and Holy Cross. It's not even a comparison.
Western Kentucky had another NCAA XC champ in Sean Dolman. Didn't do as much post college as Rose but that's not what the op was asking.
Wesleyan also produced Sebastian Junger (Perfect Storm). Believe he ran at least one D3 champs and around 2:20 for marathon.
Western Kentucky also had Dave Long and Tony Staynings on that team with Nick Rose.

You gotta chill out, the original guy who said Pre was the only prominent runner from Oregon was clearly joking, and everybody here seems to understand that except for you
