Let's correct the NC Central post, with their best Track Olympian:
During the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, Australia, Lee Calhoun won a gold medal for the United States in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.5 seconds. Four years later in Rome, Italy, Calhoun became the first to capture consecutive Olympic gold medals in the 110m hurdles (13.98). -
Are you an idiot? Oregon has produced many legendary runners and dominates National Championships.
Here you go, Prefontaine was not the ONLY prominent runner:

Art Dulong. Haven't heard that name in a long time. Guy was a beast. Holy Cross was never great but these days it's an absolute joke. Zero talent

All wonderful responses. UNCC did have Kenyans Julius Sang & Robert Ouku at same time as Larry Black. Making for a powerful 1600 relay team (Penn Relay champ?).
Also, BGSU did have steepler Sid Sink right around time of Wottle.
Great answers tho; one & all. -
