Sir Mo was King Mable's sidekick in the mid-90s in the WWF
Why isn't Paula Radcliffe knighted!!!? Sounds like the intelligence community of England knows that Radcliffe is dirty while Farah is clean!!

Perhaps because...
"She represented Great Britain at the Olympics four times consecutively (1996 to 2008), although SHE DID NOT WIN A PODIUM POSITION IN THESE EVENTS."
Delighted Sir Mo has got this recognition.

Records get broken, medals are permanent

Mo would destroy Radcliffe at every distance from 100m to Marathon. In his first marathon attempt which is not his specialist distance he was the best part of 2 miles ahead of Radcliffe's best ever performance at the distance.
Yes Mo does have the unfortunate association with Jama Aden who was busted with a truckload of PEDs in Spain this summer including EPO and steroids but he did release more of his blood data than Radcliffe has ever done and the blood values he released were all normal. Radcliffe on the other hand had dodgy blood values leaked and she refused to release any more values, Mo was far more transparent.
So people need to give Mo some respect you cannot compare him to Radcliffe as he is at a much higher level.

Paula is female. Of course Farah would destroy her.
Medals are no more permanent than world records. If you break a world record you are listed forever on the WR progression, if you win a medal you are listed as a medalist forever. Same thing in my books. Plus being Olympic gold medalist does not show that you are the best in your era, just the best on a particular day.
I believe Mo's best events are 1500m-5000m and that had he tried he may of got either of those WR. But I can't see him breaking the 10000m record or marathon - both things he has said he wants to do. Farah is past his best (though will probably win in London next year), it is a shame he didn't go for WRs at the shorter distance earl;ier in his carer.
As a runner I have more respect for WR holders, past and present, than some Olympic gold medalists. You can't fluke a WR.
Some world record's were so easy. Some still are

Every single elite that has ever existed has ranked the Olympics as the most important achievement of their careers.

Most good elites will never medal at the Olympics, but might well at the World champs. Lots of elites rank medalling at the world champs as their career highlight as running a fairly easy qf standard and then not medalling is not something to write home about.
Not every single elite ever has had the potential to break WRs so of course it won't be a highlight to them. Also, personally I don't care what the elites think of their own performances as long as they are never satisfied. I was merely stating what I find more impressive. For a near unbeatable athlete, e.g. Bolt, winning gold is not a huge difficulty - to break his WR and better himself is. I know he was disappointed with his performance in the 200m this year.
Uh you most certainly can fluke a WR. Plenty of athletes have run a WR grabbed an impressive victory only to never approach that performance again. Patrick Makau comes to mind. Sorry dude but Farah did not "fluke" 5 consecutive 5k and 4 consecutive 10k wold golds. You don't fluke an Olympic double double
Paula fluked her Marathon WR with old rules-
1. Male Pacers for the whole race.
2. Doping regimen pre-bio passport and doping tests that did not catch HgH use and transfusions
So you'd consider Seb Coe's 3:32 1500m wr more impressive than his Olympic Gold? I don't think many would agree with you.
Olympic medals were the gold standard until Farah, Rupp and now Centro came along

So without looking it up, who were the World Record holders at 5000 and 10000 when Viren got double gold in the 1972 and 1976 Olympics?
