Zero. I'm never in a hurry
Zero. I'm never in a hurry
2,013 miles, 42 yrs old. 59 rest/cross training days. Less miles than recent years but I ran them about 20 sec per mile faster. Focused on quality and ran faster in the 5k than I have in the last 3 years.
Only 366 miles logged this year (down from 2300 miles in 2015, and 1963 miles in 2014). I have dealt with an injury the entire year, though I am starting to pick back up slowly. It is unlikely that I will be able to return to log those kind of miles anytime soon.
That said, I was diligent this year and backfilled the void left by running with a lot of time in the pool, on the airdyne and on the versaclimber. I worked too hard to gain the fitness over the last several years to let it be lost to injury.
3,303 miles in 2016
Age: 50
I don't run every day, and I don't do doubles. I do go long on weekends, often back to back Sat/Sun.
1248 for 2016 battling unlucky injuries. 16 years old.... I know I'm very young to have already sold my soul to this website.
1000 last year. Ready to build next year!
Maybe like 6 or 7

3129 miles as of today which gives me a total of 125,589 since 1977. Have logbooks for every year which is a bit obsessive compulsive but always interesting to look back at running/races. Most I every ran in one year was 5143 in 1980, most in one week was 142 in 1979.
I don't think that that is being obsessive since my log books record every day back to 1978 and I would never consider myself obsessive. My numbers are similar to yours. Lifetime total (since starting recording mileage in 1978) is 122,229. Highest year was also 1980 which was 4,137 miles. Most in one week was 127 in 1979 (that week included a 100 mile race). Highest week of just training was 110 done in only seven workouts.
6100 miles.
2555 miles 6:50 avg pace
2705, exact same as last year.
I finished my run today thinking I ran 2706 however when I checked my mileage from last week I realized I had 1 less mile than I thought!
Oh well, my goal for next year is 2706! Happy New Year!
only 1125 due to arthritis in both knees, just over 65k lifetime, 64 yrs. the pain is an acceptable alternative to not running at all.
3,165 miles running with 453,000 ft. of climbing, all with my dog except for one race. That mileage is in the ballpark of what I've done since 1985, not counting years when I've cross country skied all winter. Lifetime miles is probably in in 70,000-80,000 range.
I'm 47. I only raced once this year, a trail race that I jumped into after learning about it the night before. I just ran this year - didn't train for anything.
I also did 1,082 miles of dog walking, 37 miles of skijoring, and about 20 miles of xc skiing in the past week or so. I'll probably do about 2-3 days of skiing/skijoring this winter, so my running mileage will likely be lower next year.
2991, in exactly 365 hours...an hour per day.
not bad I guess, but previous years have been 2905 in 2015, 3460 in 2014, 3355 in 2013. running since Fall 2010.
set a new weekly high of 90.6 miles, and didn't really run fast until a thanksgiving turkey trot 10k and then a marathon 10 days later. so only 2 PRs, and the 10k is still pretty weak compared to my 5k and 8k. however, the marathon was about equal as a singular performance to any race I've ever done, so I have finally got some range outside of 5k to 10k!
3500 next year would be awesome...requires no injuries like these last 2 years.

I still love all the aspects of training, but these days, could care less about lining up to race. Anyone else feel that way?
+1
2016, exactly to the number
1600 miles, mostly tech trails, 200k feet climbing. Injured 3 months but still best year ever. 40 years old.

That mileage history is pretty similar. Have to check all my 100 miles weeks, but guessing I didn't run too many without a few doubles. Have run a few 50K races, but never any real ultras. Keep on trucking my man.
About 1,700
16 years old, didn't get running until late April due to a back injury
1,078. Less than I would have liked.
Age 59 though. Injuries - some minor, others not - are part of the picture now.
I'd have to calculate it. I always count a "running year" from the first day after spring track ends in May until the last day of track the next May. That being said it would probably be about 1400 to 1450.
