Classic debunker deflection.

It was no secret that Mitchell believed in ET. He also claimed to have been helped by remote healing.

Don't mistake sophistication for accuracy. The positing of "dark matter" happened because physicists failed to explain gravity. They can't explain dark matter either, but it's a trick they're used to getting away with.
And to the inevitable sophomoric egghead who objects that gravity is well understood, its failure on the very large scale is as bad as classical mechanics' failure in orbital predictions - i.e., it ain't horseshoes or hand grenades, almost isn't good enough. Wrong is wrong, and dark matter is but a prayer for it not to be.
It's not a trick that they're getting away with. We don't know what dark matter is. They're working on it. Maybe there is a modification to general relativity that explains away dark matter. I guess my point is, yes, there's lots of stuff we don't know, but we should appreciate and celebrate how far we have come.
And classical mechanics was a monumental achievement. A huge milestone in the history of science. "Wrong is wrong" - that's ridiculous. Progress is progress.

See the bullet point. "the physical properties and phenomena of something."
You understand the physical properties and phenomena of something. This is a pretty common usage of the word physics.
