I think this is flying a bit over the heads of some of the posters here. Of course the Penn women's track case was a loser. I appears as if it was designed to be. It now sets a precedent for bigger cases to come. You have to wonder how this case was able to quietly fly under the radar and only now come to light when a ruling against paying college athletes has been made.
It would be interesting to hear the reactions from the Penn women's track team to the ruling. I'd be surprised if even half of the team was even aware of the suit. This just doesn't smell right.
