Have heard a couple rumors of a few in state coaches being contacted..... last i heard they were looking to start interviews mid July
Y'all keep bringing up the Sprints/jumps coach as being the only quality coach there. Any chance he leaves or is he in the running for the job? I assume they will keep it as a Distance HC, so I'd imagine he won't get it.
From what I hear, the sprints coach is not in the running for the HC position. But the administration wants to keep him on board.
I'm going out on a limb here and saying Patty Ley will be the next head coach at Seattle U.
UNO started interviews
Limestone College should be looking for a distance assistant after the previous assistant left to take over Anderson University programs following Kevin Licht's departure
What about the rest of the distance jobs? Like the SEC jobs? USC? UMass? Director jobs at UCLA and Oregon State?
UMASS to the SEC confirmed? Big conference re-alignment news!
But for real, who did LSU hire?

John Oliver to Purdue.
That was going to be my guess. Purdue or Harvard
Anderson hired at UCLA, director
Who's Anderson?
I agree wholeheartedly with this post, and I AM that local HS coach who would never send a kid willingly to SU.
What the hell are they thinking there? So you are a great Catholic school. But you have two other nearby institutions similar to your own that respect in Portland and Gonzaga. Portland is the place to go if you are a serious scholarship kid who wants to compete for team XC titles at such a school. If you are a little bit more developmental, you show up to run for two local legends at Gonzaga, as stated above.
So if you are a distance runner who wants to attend a private Catholic university in the Pacific Northwest, PLEASE TELL ME WHY YOU WOULD GO TO SEATTLE U?
The school itself needs to change gears and try to become like the Academy of Arts in SF. Go for speed and power kids. YOU ARE IN AN URBAN AREA WITH PLENTY OF SMART KIDS WHO CAN SPRINT. Coach up some jumpers/hurdlers/relays. Find your niche. You ain't gonna do it distance running and by continuing to try with the likes of who was coaching there just shows your aren't serious about doing any more than checking a box.
Avery Anderson, HC at Cal State Northridge in LA, is the new Director of Track and Field at UCLA. A 1996 graduate of UCLA.
