Who's in line to take over the distance group at Auburn?
Lake Erie College opening advertisement from the school's website. Not on the USTFCCCA site which is usually indicative of an internal hire. They have one of the assistants listed as interim HC.
There may be candidates, but there aren't 'top candidates' at Mercer.
Bailey? Decent guy. Time to be gone.
UC Santa Cruz just came up! But that program doesn't get any support, a great area though for running! Also Portland State Head Track/XC is coming up again!

Portland state again? Is it just me or do they have a new coach every semester?
Santa Cruz sounds jacked up, they let go of a really good coach for no discernible reason.

Anybody thinking about UCSC needs to read this first:

The coach was only there two years? How is that enough time to be given a fair chance to build a program??
It takes more than two years. Why is this job open again and who in their right mind would be interested in it?
takes only one to show an impact. In 2 there should be noticeable improvement.
They haven't had an athletic director since last October? That is insane..
And they haven't been piling that money, they were spending it, and are now trying to figure out how to budget for a 100K + position.
What an absolute dumpster fire...

Texas Rio Grande HC has been filled. The Jumps and Throws positions are open though.
TAMU is only jumps. Not sprints and jumps.
How do you know Missouri State is sprints and jumps? The HC is a sprint background coach.
SeattleU should be an interesting position for any interested applicants. The team has talent on both sides of the program (men/women) including a host of guys who have dipped under 15 for 5k, one who has run 14:27, and another sub 3:50 guy (this is all with poor coaching). Additionally, the fact that SeattleU (competing in the WAC) can offer the opportunity to win conference titles in both ITF/OTF is something that the WCC can't bring to the table. I would disagree with the existing sentiment on the message board that there isn't an institutional commitment to the program. I would argue that the fact the administration decided to move on from the Steidl regime (12 years) is evidence to that fact. Additionally, there is a talented and well liked Sprints/Jumps/Multis coach who has sent athletes to NCAAs and won WAC individual titles with very few resources at his disposal. Very few situations are perfect but the job at SeattleU is much more attractive than people who know very little about the team/school on these message boards have deemed it to be.

Sorry, no event group listed here. My bad for reporting fake news.
No worries. At least you're focusing on the topic of the thread lol
Ok, all good info on Seattle. Maybe most important question, what does it pay?
