Adam Tribble was an assistant there not too long ago. Could make sense and would probably be cheaper. Distance oriented NW fit.
What on earth has he done at Alabama to warrant a PAC 12 head coaching job?

And he didn't leave Oregon State on the best terms...

You're late buddy.
Formality
You actually did exactly what my post basically recommended. If you couldn't be loyal than you needed to get out - which is what you did. Makes no difference who was "right" whatever your perspective is. I also didn't describe the way the job *should* be in an ideal world...I described the job as it IS. Hopefully that's helpful to any young assistants who think they are going to get in somewhere and shake things up for the better...they "shake things up," they're going to end up unemployed very quickly. Sounds like your situation was indeed toxic if we're going to only take your side of things (not saying you're lying, just implying that there are two sides to every story), so you made the right decision to walk away. Be careful how sabotaging things from a distance can blow back on you & future job prospects. It's not that hard to trace the source and it's a small world out there...
So now that everyone is done bashing Seattle U, does anyone know when the job will be posted or if they are just accepting applications?
Who is the formality pick then?

WHO is the Pick???? we all want to know who is in consideration? I read o here
VIG(Princeton)?
KD(LSU)?
Van Hoy( OLE MISS) ?
David Freeman (USC)?
Chris Johnson of UBC beyond the border?
KD is a garbage, disgruntled former employee. He's been calling recruits directly telling them not to go to LSU.
They will end up with Randy Cole.
My gut is that Van Hoy is in consideration at Oregon State.
Oh there is no sabotage going on. I am fairly comfortable knowing that being adaptable as a coach and on an adaptable coaching staff that I will never worry about what that staff or any other staff is doing unless I want to do the similar things. Also, Saying a coach and an AD have a lot to learn about leadership is not sabotage. Worst case scenario is program suffers in attrition so bad it looks as if it doesn't exist. I don't think it will go that far, but when relationships start to fray with HS coaches over attrition of former athletes or athletes they knew it becomes a hard sell no matter the affordability of the school. It becomes harder to keep a program afloat, because fundraising will be mostly athlete driven instead of mostly alumni driven. Definitely two sides to the story and I don't really know how they feel about me. Keeping me or me leaving wasn't a monetary or who I worked with issue, it was about philosophy, lifestyle, and health issues. I probably could have survived leading a mutiny, not 100% sure, based on information athletes told me after I left, but at the time with the information I had it would have been unwarranted. So there in lies the crux, I knew if I stayed I would probably have to mutiny at some point or I would just do my job poorly and lead a sad and depressing life. In the month after, I am at a program as a volunteer coach that has won multiple national titles, working with great people both coaches and athletes who understand how to have fun and be successful at the same time.
Volunteer huh? Good for you. Must have been real quality to be snapped up for a paying job so quick. Or you make irrational decisions and just quit on your team and your head instead of sticking out for whats bestfor the kids/program/family. Real winner. Have fun.
Vanhoy to take over at UCLA

Furthest thing from the truth. Trolling on letsrun, typical. You're definitely soggy about something, get over it dude. Kd wouldn't do that at all otherwise they wouldn't have signed.
They signed before he was let go.
He's been calling current recruits and kids he was recruiting for next year's class.
Van hoy isn't going to UCLA or Oregon State. He will be at Ole Miss till a certain job in his home state (North Carolina) opens up he's been waiting for!

Maybe I am embellishing a little bit but I don't believe he would want his recruits to sign with LSU. Randy cole can't bring in those high caliber middle distance runners like cooper, but he is a better fit for the program.
So far seems like theirs been quite a lot of job postings. Does it typically slow down by this time or will more jobs come available in July?
