I think SeattleU thought that they could get back to the glory days of Elgin Baylor and take a deep run into the NCAA basketball tournament, or at the very least, compete with Gonzaga and Washington. Until the basketball program does something and put some butts in the seats, good luck with the track/XC program (they just got a new AD a few months ago and they fired MBB coach Cameron Dollar), because I just don't see them getting much more funding than what that program is getting.Can't substantiate it, but got the feeling that many high school coaches in Washington didn't think too much about the Steidls to warrant steering their kids there. The results showed--most of the state's D2 programs were better than SeattleU.
