I don't think anyone was critical of ASU scoring in the throws, but only having one athlete score is unacceptable for a nationally prominent program.

Any word on San Francisco job. Is it worth checking it out?
Anyone a little stunned by the third name on this list?
Great Coach, great guy...maybe attempting to slow things down or finally just be a HC with out all the expectations?

What kind of idiot posts who they are interviewing!! That's the craziest thing ever to do. If I was one of those 4 names I'd pull my name immediately.
I was thinking the same thing...

Not a bad idea to post who you're interviewing for recruits coming in to see.
Anyone know who left Tennessee?

Kind of unprofessional to list interviewees. Hopefully they got permission/consent to do so in advance.

Yeah, but only one of these guys gets the job. The other three will likely return to programs where their teams will realize they actively pursued other positions over the summer.
I would hope MSU asked these guys before making this announcement; I'd be pissed.

Good point. Probably a bad idea, all things considered.
I am stunned to see this list posted. It strikes me as unprofessional and I can't see the point of doing it. I would think that it would discourage future potential candidates from applying.
Should be the Director, but it looks like one of the assistant sprint coaches. Wait for the heat to start coming on BAS from the alumnus and some of the good ole boys. Coleman will be gone and then the shit hits the fan. By the way what events does the director coach?

You all realize that if you apply to a job at a state school your entire application can be FOIA'ed?
THIS!!!

That is WAY different than the Athletic Department just going "look who we got applying". MSU just create so much drama for these people for no reason. Leaving athletes is hard enough without this bombshell

Happens a lot with other athletics jobs. It may even be a state requirement in Minnesota.
Depending on the Classification of the Job most positions in the Minnesota State System (MNSCU) require candidates to be posted and hold open forums for them. I'm sure the canidates are aware of this especially since 3 are either in the MNSCU system or in Minnesota.
Matthew Barreau OUT at Christopher Newport. Anyone know details why?? Seemed like he was doing a good job...
Most of the coaching jobs you apply for state the possibility of this or ask the candidates as part of the phone interview if they are ok with posting or contacting current employer. As a head coach who could apply elsewhere I would def not want this to happen. My team or AD seeing this may not be a positive thing. But then again, the only way they would see it is if they read Letsrun.com and this thread which is highly unlikely!
I don't want the UCLA job I wish they'd stop contacting me, I said "no" means "no".
