If you read the interim position post fully it shows that its for a position that is to end June 30, 2017 and non-competitive. Meaning Dumble has job til new coach hired but we have to do this to follow the law.
Yes, thanks, I did read both posts carefully to see how they are different, and I do see that the interim position is a one year term. To follow the law in the state system (I'd have to look up the laws for Oregon specifically) the position needs to be advertised and 3 people need to be interviewed. There is typically a shorter "position open" time frame when there is a strong internal candidate. There is a minimum time frame, often 3 weeks. The strong internal candidate generally has the upper edge *because they are internal and therefore able to speak directly to the inner workings of the program.
Posting two separate Director jobs simultaneously, a permanent and an interim, is weird.
The person who normally makes a running list isn't doing that, so I'll post one:
These are the jobs posted online, not rumored.

Phew. Feel free to update this.
Freeman isn't a good coach, possibly getting fired, so of course he might be rehired in the SEC. He hasn't done anything, should find another profession or get ready to descend down the ladder, not up.

Obviously an error in the NCAA.org posting. They mixed up a template for a rifle/clay shooting coach and a track coach.
The spiritual commitment part is quite common at Christian universities.

Heard Spangler to Boston University

Heard from who? Any job is a step down coming from Florida, but this would be a pretty massive step down. They didn't even have any women qualify for regionals this year.
I can't see Spangler going to a small conference
Boston puts a lot more scholarships into distance than Florida. You need to check your stats, UF had four women qualify for regionals despite red-shirting three of their top girls including two regional qualifiers from last season.

I'm pretty sure he/she was referring to Boston(no regional qualifiers)
That makes since, my mistake.
Where would you prefer your kids get free tuition at?
