I was offered UCLA I turned it down.
Anyone have any insight or knowledge to what direction Texas A&M corpus Christi will lean towards to? Would that be a good supported program to go into, specially one that has had the same coach for a number of years?

If you haven't already been contacted, you aren't in the mix. Or so I hear.
Cornell jumps assistant open

Anyone hear anything about an opening at UD? Haveman no longer listed on the school's roster page for WCC and WT&F.
Thoughts on the Towson job? Is it a place that one could have success?
Central Michigan Director position open
The new head coach is doing a good job. But the program is definitely sprint/field focused. You would probably be hard pressed to place better than 4th ever in XC at the conference level because the scholarship money won't be there for distance runners. William and Mary puts their focus in distance, then JMU and Elon have pretty balanced teams that usually have decent distance runners. Delaware improved a lot this track season with our new distance coach, and Northeastern usually has some regional qualifying track athletes in the distance events. So if you go to Towson, your main job would be trying to get a couple individuals to score decent points at the conference track meet. And their team looks like they could win the conference track meet for the next few years, so you would be part of that. But don't expect to be able to build a distance power there.

I would look into the Elon job over the Towson job if I were you. Probably better opportunities in the distance area
How about Wayne State? Sweet job!

And you are? If you have to talk about people who you know nothing about you don't have a life.
All I do know is at the end of the day, everyone coming to this thread is for the purpose of discussing what positions are available and who could potentially get said positions. There's not a need to bash anyone who is out there busting ass to make a name for themselves regardless of if they're good at what they're doing or not that's opinion. We all know that our sport isn't the most popular and we don't get the funding of these other sports so we do the best we can. All the negative talk is unnecessary.
I know this is letsrun and everyone is anoyomous so people are gonna hide behind that to say whatefer they want but just know in the coaching circle, none of this is considered truth. Like someone else said, a coach or ad is not concerned with what anonymous people are saying on here.
Coach Guthrie's announcement is a few weeks old so I'm wondering if any movement has occurred at Central yet. They've got nice indoor facilities in a great location. I hope they get someone who can grow it back to previous heights it enjoyed back in the Jeff Drenth era. CMU does well in football and no reason to believe they could do no less in cc/track with the right staff. Lots of good people looking for jobs right now so they should have no lack of quality applicants.

"Lots of good people looking for jobs right now... "
Who?
If they are so "good" then why are they looking for jobs?
Because stuff happens.
1. Spouse gets a great job in a different area
2. New Head Coach comes in and brings in their own staff choices
3. You're a rising star assistant who is ready to be a HC
4. Staffs are consolidated from 2 staffs to 1 leaving a group of highly qualified coaches looking elsewhere.
5. Programs get cut all the time-especially men's programs... again leaving qualified people looking for coaching spots.
6. More qualified people than spots. The job pool is not unlimited by any stretch.
It's the nature of the beast in college coaching. Not everyone gets what they deserve-one way or another.
