Did I miss that Purdue men's/women's distance coach Jeff Kent is gone?
Isn't it likely that the entire staff turns over this summer?

any updates from Drake? They hire someone yet?
Wondering if Shaver is leaving Illinois State because he is taking a spot on the staff at Drake. Anyone know?
Also, Indiana State? Is everyone being promoted from within?
no word on Indiana State yet, suppose we'll hear after the NCAA meet is over, maybe?
Kent leaving for personal reasons, family. He has done a tremendous job with just a little at Purdue.
Wonder who takes Jeff Kent's spot. Interesting being right after the Big 10 Team Championship. Clearly a good program with good potential

Couple of guys in the state who are have been assistant distance coaches for a few years now and probably ready to take on writing their own programs. Andrew Poore at Indiana and Sean Carlson at Notre Dame.
Doubt Poore leaves when he can take over in a few years at IU and Carlson, he's been coaching the men at ND.
I think Angie Reckart is another assistant distance coach who will be on the move this summer. Too many good things opening up and she has experience at UNC and Penn State as an assistant.

Angela, this is the third time you've posted about yourself on this thread in recent weeks. We get it - you don't like working for Gondak. But are you really ready to recruit and coach on your own?
I doubt Angie is using the LetsRun boards to try to get herself a job. Do coaches/ADs that are hiring actually look at this thread to get ideas of potential candidates? Not likely.
Plus I think she really likes what she's got going at Penn State. And isn't she married? What does her husband do for work? That always adds another wrinkle into these decisions.
Wow, blatant.
Any movement on the retirement fronts?
Arizona?
Nebraska?
Arizona State?
TAMU?
This message board only thinks in terms of distance running if you think Poore would be considered for Helmer's position any time in the next 10 years IF Helmer retires inside there. Every other assistant would be in line before him except maybe the throws coach.
Ed Beathea has Big Ten HEAD coaching experience at The Ohio State University.
He would most likely be next in line.
Hearing a move being made on the West Coast that is long over due. News should break soon.
Sorry but I meant Poore would move into the distance position, not head coach.
WE already know that Maynard is out at UCLA
With all the issues Washington has had to deal with, and now they are not backing it up with national qualifiers. It may be time to switch it up? Just a guess.
What has Washington "had to deal with?"
Angie Martin, who has been the women's coach at Indiana State since 2010-2011 gets the nod as director of the men's and women's track and field/cross country programs at Indiana State
