Uconn made their hire today in the throws. Was that the last big job on the table?

So I have heard a rumbling that Shayla Houlihan is leaving Cal or has left.
What is the deal there? Will Cal be replacing her?
Anyone know anything?
She's leaving after the season. Sandoval was interviewing candidates at the coaches convention. All females.

Oh, I see what you did there, because UConn is a joke and is NOT a big hire.
So interviewing candidates without formally posting the job?
I know that happens a lot, but seems strange. Any front runners? Will they continue to have three full-time distance coaches?
Why is she leaving? Especially after being promoted
Love. Happiness.
Her guy lives in Colorado. Don't blame her, gotta live your life the way you want to.
It never hurts to get a head start. At the coaches convention you have thousands of coaches in one place. Easy to meet with an interact with many potential candidates. Why not take advantage of the situation?

This is an amusing and ironic situation. A young, female coach who has been outspoken about the need for a level playing field for women in the business.
She jockeyed and got much of what she sought in Berkeley and now she's abandoning her career for a relationship.
I wasn't aware she was so vocal.
She's entitled to do whatever she wants. It's difficult to find happiness and balance in coaching. So no judgment there.
It'll be interesting to see what happens at Cal however, a place that is synonymous with underperforming.

Diljeet Taylor should be the number one person on his list
Are you Isaac Wood or Diljeet Taylor herself? Maybe Diljeet's husband?
Taylor isn't going anywhere. Caught up with her @ convention and even though she's not Mormon she is happy at BYU. And she believes she has a chance to do something big at BYU. Sandoval will have to look elsewhere.

THANK GOSH
He has to replace Shayla with a woman, she is the only female on staff.
Did New Mexico State hire a replacement for Head T&F/XC coach Orin Richburg yet? He resigned in September.
So far Rath and Carmichael were named Co-Interim. Looks as if they are waiting until the end of the season to fill the position.
This is a lie, guys. Shayla is not going anywhere.

Really?
So, multiple people saying it's true and claims of Sandoval interviewing candidates at the convention. I'm guessing it is in fact true and you're a coach at Cal trying to deflect.
I was at the convention Tony was not "recruiting" coaches and Cal was not recruiting coaches.
Shayla just recruited the best female (Ms. Oakley) in the country. Tony is happy to have her as evidenced by promoting Shayla three times. Shayla is happy at Cal. The coaches like her the athletes like her.
Someone with an agenda starts an anti-Cal rumor every year on every coaching thread that "Tony is leaving" and now it's "Shayla is leaving." This is an obvious troll job. Cal should sue this site or the specific poster for libel is what they should do.
