Bruce is retiring after this season?
All I know is the job at Boston University is open for a XC/distance coach according to the NCAA employment page.

It's been two days
I said about 2 days and if you haven't noticed there was one very big job that opened up in SoCal.

Full disclosure, UCLA wasn't it. I'll just say the school is still busy competing at nationals.
just tell us.
Just saw that Sioux Falls press release. They hired their assistant cc coach as director of tf/xc.... mentioned that Reid resigned..... 4 days before nationals?? Anyone know what happened or why he resigned? Why no search?

USC will have serval job openings after the NCAA Championships are completed. Just watch!
One situation involves a former athlete reuniting with his former HC... just in a different city and state. He'll do very well there, as he has at other schools.

Both from an SEC school?

I get off on being withholding so no thank you.
What about bringing back Fuller?
Scott Jones also has ties.
Jerry Baltes maybe looking now that his athletic director retired
Ron Garner is looking for a job.
And the real sleeper pick: Hadsell gets second chance.
I don't think you guys realize how bad a job it is. They are roster limited like crazy. No way Baltes would take less money to go work with less chance to be good and worse facilities and support.
No chance in hell Baltes leaves GVSU. HADSELL?? Seriously? Definitely not Hadsell. The administration barely even wants a track team but can't cut due to being st the bare minimum sports allowed to be D1. They'd have to hire someone on the tail end of their career or the beginning, or the same ole shit that has been happening since Fuller and Knapp retired.

I agree. Baltes will retire from GVSU unless he lands MSU one day. Too good of a job to leave for lowly CMU. He will continue to win NCAA titles at GVSU for years.
I think Fuller lives in Northern Michigan and his wife is some sort of Hospital Administrator. He has been out of the game a decade too.
Hadsell. No chance in hell a MAC school hires him. Judging from his acting career why would be want to coach? Last word he's shacked up with some 20s model in NY.
Jones doesn't have the stones to be a head coach. Nice guy. Too nice of a guy. Certainly has had auccess with women's distance but other than that?
How about the former EMU assistant at Texas? Glavich? It is attractive to AD to hire a P5 assistant. Has success in range of events. Good recruiter.
Could be a decent job. They've had success in the past. Knapp and Fuller had a great thing going. Raske-Sperry also did well and won MAC titles.
The real question is there anyone out there that could do worse than what is done the last 5-8 years? Not likely.

Okay now that's a tid bit harsh. 2011 they finished 2nd to EMU by 9 points. 2012 they finished 2nd to EMU by 10 points after losing Tec Adams (13:53, 8:01, 30:12 10k on grass). After those 2 years, it's be consistently downhill. They've had a couple decent guys but never a full team. I agree they haven't done well but they at least beat BGSU every year (not a high bar I know).
Not so fast my friend! They didn't bear BGSU this year. BGSU has zero scholarship money and no track for men. Lost to them by a pretty good margin. So take what you want from that.

Well.... That's embarrassing. I stand corrected.

Apparently he only coaches boys?
