Anyone know what event group the position at Manchester is for? Given the timing, it would seem to be something other than distance.

It was posted earlier that they may be waiting until summer to hire. I have no insight on whether that is true though.
Although announced a while ago, it is now formally posted.

Again, it's not true. A high school coach in CT resigned. Some tool said it was the uconn coach.

About the only complaint I hear about Coach Roy (mostly on this board) is that he refused to put his limited resources into nothing but distance. I can't fault him for that given most of the schools in his (various over time) conference(s) are/were super distance heavy.
If this is true, I wish him well in the future and I weep for the loss of another solid old school track & field coach.
Where is Stevenson going?
This will be Robert Gary or Danny Mackey IF they want it and if BAA doesn’t mind more of a track focus. Gary is pretty set at Furman, but Mackey may be looking for more stable employment.
He took an AD position at another college
I’m thinking a coach who has been in the game a while and done it all. Drenth? O’Sullivan? Miltenberg escaping Stanford? Or Marcus if he didn’t say he was quitting coaching in a couple years.
Ponsonby would be a good one. He and Cook had a stellar group a decade ago.
Marcus? Done it all? What has he ever done?
Another coach escapes having to work for Tyler Wingard at CNU. Top three coaches on staff all left this summer.
