Is he still running professionally?
If true, this hire could rejuvenate the program. Doubting it because he's only been at George Mason a year and the distance side made big jumps this year in the A-10 and has huge potential if he sticks around.
Confirmed source. Will be in Tempe within the next week.
Absolutely love the hire. Welcome to the Sun Devil family, Mr. Leslie.
Let's get back to the Bama throws situation...

You guys do realize the position is for stop watch holder right? I mean, nothing wrong with that...smart move to jump to a P5 from George Mason...but likely won't have the responsibility of "rejuvenating the program."
I've heard that several had turned down the job. They found someone they wanted but couldn't get him the job for unknown reasons. They are searching for someone still. Might be getting desperate at this point
New rule for this thread: stop saying "stop watch holder." It is such an unoriginal and almost always inaccurate way to describe assistant coaches. Most of you would sell your grandmother to hold stop watches at most programs anyway, especially reading this particular thread.

I've been a stopwatch holder... obviously I did other things, but it sucks. I'd get out of the profession before I'd go back to that.

Any rumors or news on Texas Asst Coaching position?
I've seen many really good coaches start out primarily with entry level tasks and earn the trust of the HC and move up to key positions within those staffs. I did it as a volunteer and learned what college coaching really entailed. If you want it badly enough, you'd find a way to make it palatable.
who is the new head at csun? Will they promote Anderson or Lawrence?

The correct term is lil helper.
Crying stopwatch holder is these people's way of coping with the fact that they've been passed up for another job. Doubt these new hires mind what they think, they're moving into their new offices and getting to work.
