Interesting, I think the only one with college experience is Scott Abbot, and I think he's been out of college coaching for the past 4-5 years since leaving Sac State? If it is him, guess it's never too late to get back in.....if you have the contacts!
Western Kentucky University's head XC coach/distance coach for track just left for Southern Vermont College. They are currently looking for someone to fill the void.

Isnt it just a volunteer position that is in charge of the distance runners? I think they moved away from distance a few years back

It's funny that you immediately thought it was Scott Abbott. And I immediately thought it was Devin Elizondo. I have a feeling one of us is right.
Scott Abbott is doing just fine where he is.
Why did he move out of coaching?
No, it's still a paid position. WKU's program is way more sprint-heavy at the moment, but their distance program is actually poised to have a decent year.
