Lol--Do the math. The camps bring in 1000+ runners at $500 a piece. You are saying that the camp expenses are $488,000+. Yeah you are right. All of this work for a $12,000 pay check.

Regardless, I'm pretty sure your pleas are going to go unanswered. It makes absolutely ZERO sense for Van Hoy to take a step backwards in order to get one of those supreme jobs in NC. He's better off hanging out in Oxford for now.

People really pay $500 for XC camp? Let alone 1,000+ kids... I'm just a field event coach so I know nothing, but what can you even learn there?

While it may not be a lateral move to go from SEC to CUSA Charlotte definitely has the pieces and resources to help a young coach build their own legacy. You can't forget that CUSA does have some prestige in the distances being that UTEP and MTSU has talented distance programs.

I've never seen so much lobbying for good candidates to apply for a job. Are these the UNCC athletes on her begging for someone good to help them?

It's the AD, he really cares about distance.

Ok, a good candidate doesn't have to be someone who is a big name we all know at a big school. Theirs plenty of great new coaches out there, it's not that hard to be a successful coach a lot of time it's all about being at the right place at the right time. A great coach wouldn't be a great coach if he/she wasn't given the opportunity to be great. We have to give these people a chance to succeed.
