If Louie Quintana is the new Oregon State head coach, why haven't they announced that. He is still listed at Arizona State. Nothing is listed at Oregon State. You would think that Arizona State would be posting a position if he was leaving, especially as close as the cross season is getting.

Wow, this could be really good. His style seems to me to be a great fit with the middies! Facilities are sick. Support is not going to be an issue. This could be one to watch.
Dave Nielsen comes out of retirement! http://goeags.com/news/2017/7/13/dave-nielsen-is-new-jumps-coach-for-track-and-field.aspx

Because posting the job is a formality that takes place only after they identify whom they intend to hire. Major programs never post a job and just cross their fingers someone good will apply. It's all predetermined.
Once the job officially closes they will select a few candidates for interviews; the intended hire and a few clearly inferior candidates. That way there's no trouble getting their desired hire through HR protocol.
I often see comments on this thread that people feel they are qualified but not getting interviews. That is probably true; The only people selected for interviews are the shoo-ins and the under qualified pawns.

how much was this guy actually responsible for at oregon? Was he really the sole coach for the people listed in his bio, like Devon Allen and Brianne Thiesen?

T-E's last year, Cook would likely have been "coach of record" as Harry had moved on to the professional ranks with Ashton, although still in Eugene.

to Hawaii? Is he a women's coach at all? more likely that he would go to Azusa Pacific
Wims named head coach for cross and track at mercer.
I don't think Benson has left U PENN. The job there "reports directly to Dolan" and consists of a lot of admin, as per the USTFCCCA posting.
Maybe their last assistant is on his way to Lafayette.
Seems like an interesting dynamic of distance coaches at Penn.

Best line in his Mercer bio is still this:
"Sanctified USA Track & Field Member"
apart from the other gross exaggerations, of course :)
