So Centro could probably run a hair under 12:31 right now.
Okie Dokie if you say so
A shame your aren't fast enough to hare that race just yet.
Keep at it.

From a training standpoint, why are Centro and Jenkins doing this workout in the beginning of December? Many posters are mentioning Hunter's cutdown mike session. That was used to peak him for Footlocker, not several months out from his peak race or several weeks before his opener. I imagine they've only been training for a few weeks after a break.

He is 28 will he better any of these PRs?
Yes. Some of his PRs are very weak considering his level of fitness. If he races a 3000m soon, I don't see how he does not break his PR.
Is it a full mile or 1600m?
However they shot that workout, it is the best look at 4:00 mile pace running I have ever seen.
Agreed, gotta think he is damn close to 7:30 outdoors.
Looks like slight braking with his foot. More proof that form is overrated.
I saw and thought great workout. It seems pretty normal for the Salazar training. His groups tend to run some pretty big indoor meets, and then shut down or reboot for late summer.
Will Centro stay in the 1500 for the next olympics or does he soon begin to move up to the 5 km for the next olympics?

I would assume he'll take advantage of the extra appearance fee earmarked for Olympic 1500m runners. Who knows though? Perhaps the 5km will be his best event in the end?
Huh... those are both Oregon guys... wearing purple shorts training at the UW facility. Hurts my brain a little bit.

His 1k and 3k are weak considering his PRs in other events. Flip side is a lot of guys are going to be out for blood this season (Kiprop, Makhloufi, etc.), totally galled that Centro won (never mind the slow time). Centro has nothing to prove. He won against the world's best. I'd like to see him break 3:30 and then see how close he can get to the AR in the mile. I don't think he can get it but I hope I'm wrong. I also think that he needs to do these things this season, because by 2018 Clayton Murphy, who will definitely get the AR in the 800 and possibly run a bit under 1:42 in the next few years, will clean Centro's clock in the 1500 / mile by then, and will get the ARs in those events at some point. He may never win gold in the 1500, but his potential is better than Centro's.
Centro will become a top 5k runner and will be a medal threat at the 5k at the next Olys. Sure, he could remain in the 1500, but by 2020 guys like Murphy and new Kenyans, and who knows who else will be ready to rumble and will be young and in their primes.

No. You managed to make two false statements in one sentence.
Lol to the dunce thinking that Grice should have been in the Pre mile over Hunter.
nice marathon Sunday, reed!

if you're wondering why they did this in Seattle, it's because there's a snowstorm in portland right now and there are no indoor tracks around here
They also did a set of 6-8 800's afterwards at 2:04 pace with ~ 2 min jog in between. I was there and watched.
None of this matters when it comes to winning Olympic medals.
What we need to know is how fast can he run 300 meters after cruising at 62 sec / 400 m pace for a few laps.
That's how medals are won.

Lol to the dunce that didn't see Grice run 3:52 in that mile, solo from the front? And Hunter finish somewhere near the back? Maybe have been outside 4?
What are you sending me results for? I was THERE. Doubling down on dunce I see.

Well you are extremely stupid then. Grice won by 3 seconds in 3:52. Asbel took the other mile in 3:51. Hunter came last, of course.
