Beasts Baby!! That club breeds half milers. NYNJ is a milers club. They have their 4 x mile but leave the half-miling to the half milers....the BEASTS BABY!!!

Remind us who Danny Mackey has 'bred' into a great half miler??
Answer- nobody. Loxsom is no better than he was at Penn State, and don't give me Symmonds- the hay was in the barn from OTC.
People say the dumbest things, have you heard of Google? Loxsom never won a title at Penn State, was up and down and at the Beasts he has PR'd and made a US team, and won an indoor title. (He did run bad this year but I heard this were other things going on for him.)Drew Windle, PR'd by quite a big his first year and won a few races, I never heard of him in college until Running Timings did a piece on him as a Beast. Justine Fedronic PR'd and made the Olympic team her first with with Mackey. When Symmonds seemed to be focused, he won USA's. Katie Mackey trains for 1500/5k and ran the 800 and ran 2:01 this year to hit the Olympic standard.Mark Wieczorek PR'd on the team, I don't think he's running anymore but he was around for a while before joining the Beasts.

Let's be serious. All these teams are exceptional with exceptional athletes and coaches. It would be an incredible race. Being indoors, it would come down to who has been doing more quality to get "800 ready". Everything being equal, the record could be in jeopardy and threatened by any of the team's listed.
Kind of like listing Hilary's poll numbers when they aren't really real.
I totally missed this thread and then saw it while I was looking for another thread from around the same time. My gut feeling take is that the current crop of super talented, young milers at NJNY would win but also may just be one leg short. I like Merber, Gregorek and Alexander tho. What they may give up to the Brooks half-milers in basic leg speed, they more than make up for in grit and competitiveness. Palmer on the 4th leg? Any new 800 recruits?
When is this 4x8 between Brooks, OTC, NJNY, and others happning?
It was confirmed for Feb 4th, but we'll see

The beasts love to talk. They also love to be terribly inconsistent. They'd get worked by njny and otc. Even if Windle and Walker ran their PRs, Symmonds is no where near pr shape(and probably never will be again) and Loxom only shows up for pointless races and pointless distances.
