Agreed. For years I ran high mileage and hovered around 6'0/140-145 lbs. I got bored with that, cut the mileage and switched a weight training regiment. I got up to a rock solid 190 over the course of about a year, and honestly it was not very hard at all. Gradually increase weight in the gym, and load up on the protein.
I think genetics play a role in how easy/difficult it is for someone to put on size/lose size.
When I went through that whole body transformation, there were a couple people who accused me of being on steroids. These people were either fat slobs, or had simply never spent more than about 30 min. in the gym in their lives. People that don't know sh*t love to accuse others of steroid use because they can't imagine putting in that kind of work in the gym.
