it's much worse than that - to the the scariest parts of the carrier/boeing debacles is this:
companies love the US for its stability, its rule of law, its relatively laissez faire regulatory climate. The government stays away, bribes are not required, you don't have to worry about a politician pushing you around.
but now they do have to worry about a politician calling you up and telling you what you have to do.
Companies can take a lot of this and deal...but some will no doubt say 'you know what...Canada looks more stable than the US. or Hey, let's not hire - the political situation in the uS is not favorable anymore.
that's the danger - scaring business away.
