Forgive me for I don't know, but has Sage ever won a big Ultra before?

Jim got wind that they might test the winner of TNF.

That would be super incriminating for a certain runner.

He was trying to make the 2016 US Olympic trials and probably will try one more time in 2020, he will have to try a little harder if he wants to make it happen or move back to Michigan (unlikely)
Jim is also going for the 2020 oly trials and I imagine so will Laney, Tollefson, King, Hawk(?) maybe more. It will be fun to see who transfers over the easiest to marathon again. I have a good feeling about Tollefson. Laney honestly looks too in shape at the moment, I hope he muscles up to get through the next 3 years of ultra and gets back into marathon shape. Some people think Jim bonked at WS becaue he was also too skinny and the one tome he missed his gel did him in. When you lose calories you lose focus and when that happens you make bad decisions; ot's one thing to miss a turn, it's another to keep running in the wrong direction and give up. The good thing about the marathon anyhow is you can be old like Meb and make it happen if you wish upon the stars.
Exactly.
Look at what happened to outsiderunner when he developed hypoglycemia-induced cognitive dysfunction/bad decision and went in the wrong direction which screwed up his last marathon race and led to a 3:07:30 (= his worst marathon so far 3:02>>>>3:04>>>>>3:07. His marathon time progression is also in the wrong direction.)
Things happen.
Who the heck is outside runner and why does their time suck so much?!

Why would anybody forgive someone too ignorant, lazy, or stupid to research whether a runner has won a big race before?
Jim Walmsley IS outsiderunner
It's not that difficult...... wrote:

Yeah, I don't know either. Anyone else know? I'm assuming he's probably won something.
Maybe he has a life and doesn't know every elite/sub elite athlete there is to know and was asking a simple stupid question like every other question on letsrun

No. Jim Walmsley just runs outside a lot.
Please do not insult a Flagstaff Ultra-runner in that extreme manner.
I have found ultra-runners at this forum to be Ultra-mean. They are always attacking other ultra-runners such as Jim Walmsley.
Do you get really hungry on ultra-runs?
Does that make you want to barbecue other ultra-runners?

It takes about 2 minutes to Google. My guess is that he already knew that Sage has won many races.
Easy.
He'll go out at record pace, bonk hard, lose positions, then he'll blame the top guys for doping.
