Agree, but it applies to MU this yr, not OSU. OSU is in, case closed.

Another thing to note is that two years ago, Baylor finished ranked 5th and TCU ranked 6th after the regular season. However, TCU beat Baylor in the head-to-head matchup. They both finished 11-1. So this shows that head-to-head matchups are not necessarily a deciding factor. This could give more hope to PennSt/Wisconsin as they both lost to Michigan.
Washington beat Colorado convincingly, so they are in. I don't see Alabama losing, and Ohio State isn't playing -- both in.
So that only leaves Clemson needing to defeat VA Tech, I know nothing about Clemson. They are heavily favored, though.
Guessing the Big Ten championship game tonight will be solely to see who makes the Rose Bowl. The winner of that game will be either 5 or 6 in the CFP rankings, depending on how much the committee loves Michigan. Wonder what bowl Michigan gets...
Washington very likely in with its win yesterday. Alabama in with its win today. Clemson up on VTech 14-7 2nd Q and Wisco up 14-7 on Penn St also 2nd Q. But Ohio St may be getting the nod instead of Big Ten champ. We'll see.
PSU is getting whooped right now. Joe Pa is watching from hell.
Wisconsin up 28/7 now. They will probably try to run up the score like Ohio st did to them when OSU made the playoff. The committee said it valued Ohio states conf championship and the fact that it won convincingly. Wisconsin could do just that tonight. Will committee look hypocritical and leave Wisco out and keep sucking that Ohio st D?

No, Baylor beat tcu that year.

Two 4th down plays with bad field position? It must really Suck to be Penn State. At least they have a great cross country team.....if they only raced against high school teams. LOL

You're right. 61-58 in a shootout in Baylor. Looks as if winner of wisco/pennst has to pray for a Clemson loss to get in, assuming they take Ohio st for playoff. Oklahoma the other outside shot right now, going unbeaten in conference but two early losses may prove costly.

It's ok. Just listen to Robert Smith. He told the world after the P12 Championship game yesterday that Washington is terrible and Penn State is the hottest team in the nation outside of Alabama and belongs in the CFP. Watch for a huge second half where Penn State storms back and beats this season's lesser UW.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised. I keep thinking Wisco is over performing this year but they keep winning. And also, Washington will get destroyed in the national semi-final. They were exposed against overachieving Colorado despite winning...their passing game which was hyped as the best all year was horrible and halted by Colorado defense. Washington gashed the Buffs on the run though, and Wash has an average ground game. The Pac12 sucked this year.
Interesting. Slightly different take than what I saw.
For me:
-Washington and Colorado both have elite secondaries. This year, Browning has seemed too nervous against secondaries that good (same situation in the USC game), and that showed up again. Lots of poor passes that he made consistently in other games.
-Colorado's front seven is their defensive weakness, and that's where Washington attacked (and dominated). Washington's linebackers is also their weakness, but Colorado couldn't make any headway.
Overall, it was a dominant performance by Colorado. CU's offense absolutely shut down, and UW's rushing attack being able to do just about whatever they wanted. To win 41-10 over a Top 10 team while having a deplorable game by your star QB speaks volumes to the quality of the team as a whole.
100% agree that Alabama would stomp UW. I do think that Clemson or Ohio State would potentially be pretty good games, though: both have struggled against lesser teams, Coach Petersen is pretty good with game planning for a month, and UW is supposed to have their elite pass rusher back by January, meaning they might only need to rush 4 instead of 5 to disrupt the run and pressure the QB. It will take a much better game from Browning to actually win, though.
Penn State and Wisconsin, on the other hand, haven't looked like complete teams all year. Penn State edged out Ohio State, but haven't really done anything else of note. They got stomped by Michigan, lost to Pitt, and hadn't played anyone else of consequence until this game and they are down 28-14 while giving up more than 6 yards per carry to Wisconsin (although that does include one big run, there would still be 4 Wisco RBs averaging between 3.8-5.0 yards/carry against an overrated PSU Rush D).
Wisconsin is a solid team, though, and I've thought so since the LSU game. However, they have not been playing better than Washington, and don't have the resume to overtake Washington even with a big win today.
28-28 with momentum clearly on the side of the Nittany Lions.
So, Penn State probably won't make the playoffs, but they just led the biggest comeback in Power 5 conference championship history.

Penn State = B1G champs with largest comeback victory in history of power 5 conference championship games.

Nice call. Robert Smith also knows his stuff.
What a comeback. Incredible season for a program the NCAA tried to destroy 5 years ago.
As for the playoffs, the top 4 won today and even though PSU has a better resume than Washington the comitte will not touch that top 4. PSU is going to be 5th or 6th playing in the Rose Bowl against The Wetmores.
All you haters could go suck a D.

They 'led' the biggest comeback?

Yes they did.
Which part of that confused you?

CU likely won't go to Rose but will be leaped by USC. The committee should just leave well enough alone w/the one or zero loss teams. A lot of conversation surrounding UW's weak non-conf schedule, but they are conf champs too. I think OU has a strong case, a way to divert attention away from the controversy that is the Big Ten, but they are too far down.
I think the committee leaves it be, but Clemson seems like the weakest of the Big 4, having many near misses and having the worst loss at home to Pitt. Va Tech pushed them tonight. I could live w/them falling out & Penn State or OU or even Mich making it in, but it won't happen.
The Rose Bowl will be a nice consolation prize for PSU vs USC.
