I travelled for the holiday with some family members who like fast food. They stopped at Wendy's and Burger King, and I decided to try both. Wendy's was okay, but unexceptional. Burger King was downright gross.
WTF makes some people eat this stuff multiple times per week? A food would have to be incredibly delicious for me to eat it with that frequency. While tastes vary, I can't imagine how anyone would consider Burger King to be so incredibly good that it had to be consumed on a daily or weekly basis.
I tried fast food over the holiday. Can someone explain why this stuff is so popular?

The mass amounts of sugar and salt in fast food triggers your body to release chemicals which translate to satisfaction. After a while of eating this type of food consistently, your brain develops strong cravings for crap food. You typically don't see healthy people at fast food joints. Those are reserved for depressed fat people.

McDonald's fries are the best. It's the beef flavoring that they add to it.

Tell us what you ate and then we can tell if you are an idiot or not. -
Funny thing: when I tried to get my fast foodie family members to order sushi with me a while back, they informed me that such food was just to weird for them. This logic just doesn't seem to add up. How can one eat fast food mystery meat regularly, and find rice and fresh fish to be too out there for their tastes?
I've eaten all kinds of food all over the world, and a Burger King burger is about as unusual as food gets, in my opinion. -

yeah dude, i was in an airport and everything was expensive and it was a few bucks for some burger king hashbrowns and some oatmeal so i got it and the oatmeal was fine bc it was just Quakers instant oatmeal, but the hashbrowns were basically square french fries.. really salty and nasty, ate about 5 and then threw them out
My cousins eat that stuff all the time and say I'm picky because I don't eat meat when they wont touch vegetables or anything thats not covered in salt -
There are good and bad fast food places. I know they get sh*t on a lot because they're popular, but I honestly think McDonalds is one of the better fast food places. Subway and Arbys are good as well. 5 Guys is great too if you consider that fast food.
Burger King is garbage. -

Dude, it's hamburger cooked over a flame like how most of the free world cooks a burger at a cookout on July 4th. If you were smart, you would have ordered a couple slices of cheese on it and maybe some mayo lettuce tomato. -
Who gives s shiiiit? Do you think you are better than everyone? Did you eat tofu and lower your testosterone?
You are like those idiots who tell everyone they don't own a TV. No one cares bozo -

I don't think I'm better than anyone. Note that you are the only one here insulting anyone. I simply asked for someone to explain the popularity of a particular business model, which I notice that you have been unable to do. -
For many its all they can afford.
So while so many letsrunners are making sure each person who self identifies as a random farm animal feels safe and protected. There are people that literally hope their '92 Ford Tempo has enough change in the cup holder to buy them a shitty dollar menu burger.
But of course they shouldn't complain because they have cis male white privilege.
Amirite? -

Well maybe you should actually try the Whopper you moran. -
My opinion of fast food is on two fronts, one people are in different socioeconomic situations and find it borderline cheaper to eat that rather than making a home cooked meal which requires getting groceries, having everything for a meal, then actually making the meal. I'm sure plenty of low income parents resort to fast food because of it's convince and limited time. Not all parents work a regular 8 to 5 and can be home early enough to make a proper meal. Especially when its a one parent household. Gets difficult to make enough money then making time for proper meals while having 2 or more kids. Requires some critical thinking as well and absolutely relates to overweight/obese children. The other front is people are just on the go and resort to a quick bite of something that they can be in and out. Generally I see it as a once a week or less kind of thing for the other part.
My opinion is Fast food is gross. I used to eat that stuff about 3 times a week, then i completely changed my diet to better eating habits. If i ever eat anything too greasy i immediately get stomach pains and contemplate making myself throw up to feel better. No more sugary drinks, no more beef products, limited alcohol maybe twice a month at most, no more fast food, i do run for donuts once or twice a week though. -

You are superior and everyone else is an idiot. Congratulations. -
It's just an easy and convenient to access food if you're lazy. No need to spend time preparing anything or waiting in a restaurant and wasting 20min to an hour of time. I think that's the main reason it's popular, just the outright convenience of fast food is why people eat it--no work or hassle needed, and it's cheap. I used to eat Wendy's everyday for the same reason, I was too lazy to make my own lunch. I liked going out at lunch break to take half hour away from that dumpster I called my workplace.

You did not ask about a business model. You asked about the taste of the food and then insulted that food. -
My go to food is a few slices of pizza , but really a jar of sauce .99 a box of spaghetti.99 a loaf of french bread and a can of mushrooms. 99 cents each. $5.00 for dinner. I avoid the burger and donut places.

Well, I'll be sure to apologize to the food if it felt insulted. That's really what you're worried about? That I insulted food? -
