Both Brexit and President Trump were astronomically unlikely.

Agreed, but a movement at least needs a good name to catch on. CalExit is a stupid name.

Hello, fool, Hello. California was not part of the US in 1865.
Who is the fool? California became a state in 1850. Better be sure you are correct before calling out someone.

Secession is only illegal if the mother country goes to war and beats you
California doesn't need to secede. They need to invoke the 10th amendment and sue the Federal government for abuse of power. If we restrict the Federal government to it's original Constitutionally limited powers, then it won't matter much who is President because the States will be largely self governing.
This is the problem with giving the guy at the top all the power to beat up your enemies. What happens when your enemies get control of that power?
Enforce the Constitution and everyone will be happy.
More importantly, what would their Olympic team look like? Who would be their top 800, 1500, 5000, 10000 runners?
German Fernandez, Blake Haney? Who else?

Good thing they have good lawyers. I think most of OJ's defense team is still there.

To expand - when the Founding Fathers established the Constitution "in order to form a more perfect Union" - they never provided a mechanism whereby a state could walk away from that union. There is no constitutional support for allowing a state to leave the union. The union could expand but contraction never came up. Part of Virginia, however, was allowed to secede and that became W. Virginia but Congress consented to creation of W. Virginia as a new state.
We need to build a wall around California. They can run their own liberal country and when it fails people will finally realize that liberalism is a mental disorder.

Actually, no. Robert Kardashian (of Kardashian fame and who was married to Kim before Caitlyn Jenner) is dead. Johnny Cochran is dead. F. Lee Bailey is very old but alive I think. Shapiro alive but not practicing

Meant married to Kris.

OJ's 'dream team' is defunct.
Papa Kardashian didn't survive Mama Kris. Neither did Tranny Jenner. Lamar Odom was taken down by a Kardashian Kqueen as was Kayne West.
Johnnie Cochran bite the dust a decade ago, like Papa Kardashian.
Maybe Marcia and Chris can help?

Well, pardner, the laws only matter if the people who control the biggest guns want them to matter.

Hmmm, where have we heard that before?????? but it will probably happen to the EU.
Yes, yes, I know there are huge differences US/EU, But as a theoretical/philosophical question it's interesting. Land of the Free, except "...you can check out any time you want, but you can't ever leave.." How free is that?
