Go to Dr. John McDougall's website and read the small PDF file Color Picture Book "Food Poisoning" to get an idea what to eat and what not to eat. It is all about eating a WHOLE FOOD PLANT-BASED diet that keeps the dietary fat consumption down to 10% of total calories per day, protein totals 10% per day and carbohydrates are 80% per day. This approach works as long as you eat enough calories from whole plant food sources. My son lost 65 pounds adopting this dietary lifestyle which changed his life for the better. He is an endurance athlete now. Believe me, it wasn't exercise that really helped him get lose the love handles and stomach. This dietary approach is so effective not only for your own health but also for the whole planet.

It's not the carbs that are the problem. The only diet that has proven to optimize cardio-vascular health and efficiency and unclog arteries is a low fat (10% of total calories per day) whole foods plant based diet. There's a huge amount of misinformation and deliberate intention to confuse us on the truth of what is optimal for human health due to the financial interests of big corporate entities that use their power and money to alter government health guidelines and policy and clinical research results.
