Clinton is against the TPP. (Once she figured out what it is). Sanders is against the TPP. NB would have supported any president that is against the TPP.

All of your daughters will be grabbed by the p*ssy. She will also enjoy it. It is called consensual sexual activity. People touch each other. Having Trump, Hillary, or the Pope as president will not change that. Trump never said anything about sexual assault. The Democrats just told you he did.
You have been lied to and manipulated. All Trump said in that recording was that women become groupies and sluts when celebrities are around. That is not sexual assault. That is true.
Dude, you're insane. I don't think you've ever been with a girl/woman. Since this seems obvious, I will fill you in for future reference: when getting it on with a chick, you don't "GRAB a her by her pu$$y." really. There all sorts of stuff you can do to her "down there" to turn her on, but "grabbing" her there, no.
Here's the transcript:
"Trump: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.
Bush: Whatever you want.
Trump: Grab ’em by the pu$$y. You can do anything."
Now yes, this can be interpreted in some slightly different ways, but all suggest: he "doesn't wait" to ask them, he just does. And he can get away with it because he so famous and powerful, they don't dare resist. And that he can "do anything", even "GRAB them by their pu$$y." That's similar to grabbing a girl by her a$$ or boobs. It suggests just doing without asking, and you know it. Now we don't know for sure that that is what he has done (though there are women who say that that is exactly what he did), but he is certainly implying that he just grabs women, starting kissing them and grabbing their pussies, and they don't dare resist. They let him.
Glad I could be of help to you.
"....And he can get away with it because he so famous and powerful...."
Sounds like someone else we all know and love :)

Is that somehow better than that criminal Phil Knight profiting off of slave labor in Vietnam and China, or bribing the governor of Oregon?
Nike is one of the most evil companies on the planet with its use of child slave labor so P Knight can be a multi billionaire.
You want to boycott someone boycott Nike
Thanks Rojo for clarifying that. I'm a liberal and will point out that Bernie was against the TPP, too. Bill Clinton's Nafta has been horrible and largely incentivized illegal immigration from Mexico.
What I will say, though, is that conservatives need to be paying attention to automation, machine learning and robot manufacturing. If Watson can be more correct that medical doctors, and if complex carbon fiber layups for Formula 1 cars can be laid up by robots, globalization is going to be seen as a phase. Conservative's (and Bernie) and working class white's are reacting to a phase when the next big thing in industry is going to bite them in the ass. We do not have an economy in place or on the horizon to keep people employed (or at least financially invested in the new automated economy to reap livable dividends) to deal with this new industrial revolution.
All this said, I did hear that NB has printed, "grab her by the pu$$y" on the bottom of all of their shoes.
I don't think it is so wrong for a company to acknowledge when things work out in their favor. A Trump presidency is probably better for my industry (aerospace) and thus my job security as well. That said on personal and big-picture level I would gladly trade the outcome of the election.
But thats just my opinion.
NB is not an american company. they make some products here but from a corporate standpoint they are not a US company.- there's a reason they are still privately held -

I will. Never again will I buy anything New Balance.
And yeah, how ironic this mighty American company makes their stuff overseas.

My God this thread is scary. It shows you how stupid so many people are.
Here are the facts...
Again, Rojo, you launch in to hyperbole the undermines an otherwise rational and well-informed response.
This shows us how *UNIFORMED* (not stupid) *ONE* person is.
Thank you for posting supported coherent facts.
First the Patriots, now NB speaks against Obama and says they support Trump. Why alienate so many of people who (used to) buy their products?
New Balance is in favor of trade policy that Clinton, Sanders, and Trump have all publicly favored. One that Obama happened to not. One that supports US manufacturing jobs, which New Balance is a large proponent of with 5 footwear factories in the northeast. It's simply a statement that their position on this matter is more likely to be heard under the new administration as it was largely ignored under the previous one. Had Clinton been elected, the sentiment would've been the same from the company perspective as her position has also been in opposition of the TPP trade agreement during the campaign.
This statement is NOT a public endorsement of Donald Trump, and certainly not one of his moral character. I doubt you'll find many companies more community active and supportive than NB. Family and community values and respect for their fellow men and women around the world are extremely important to the NB culture. If you disagree with their business position on the Trans Pacific Partnership to the point that you can no longer support their products, then so be it. That is certainly within your right as a consumer. But do your research before making inflammatory statements and please don't make this about something it isn't.
This good man speaks the truth!
I admire RoJo's thoughtful posts, but he's wrong here. New Balance is a company--naturally, it cares chiefly about profit. But it exists in a world, and in a country, where citizenship matters, where honesty matters, where civil liberties matter, and Trump is an affront to all those, not to mention the rights of women, immigrants, Muslims, the disabled, military families...the list goes on.
Most smart companies pay lip service to citizenship, to ethics--to some form of responsibility besides their own financial success. New Balance is a very, very stupid company, and after 20 years of buying their products, I'm through.
Jesse
I agree buy from companies that represent your values....hence I stopped buying Nike many tears ago and now NB. Rojo you are wrong in this one....
Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are very much against the TPP. The overreaction to this is just plain silly.
I'll keep buying the cheapest shoes that I like (which happened to be new balance b/c they were on clearance).
But I am pissed that there are so many politicians that are completely ignorant about economic issues. A few things:
1. Globalization has brought millions out of destitute poverty. I'm completely happy to help a poor person in Vietnam/China by buying their shoes, as long as they're not being abused (most companies that rely on their brand image have gotten better at controlling their supply chain, even the Foxconn/iPhone suicide controversy years back had lower suicide rates than America .)
2. The protectionist policies of trump and Clinton are essentially a regressive tax on the poor. It drives up the prices of commodities for all consumers to prop up a special interest. Poorer people spend a greater proportion of their money on these goods.
3. Re TPP: a big part of it is intellectual property rights... Given that were the biggest innovator/generate tons of patents, and this would set up a court of arbitration for counties that violate our patents, TPP offers a lot of benefits. Trade agreements and institutions like the wto, provide similar mechanisms for punishing unfair trade practices. To act like the (nearly) richest nation in the world is getting scammed by our trade agreements is ridiculous. B/c of all the special interests involved/affected by these trade agreements, they end up being a mishmash of generally reduced regulation rather than 'free' trade .
4. China's economy is not something to be admired. Countries like South Korea and Japan had similar/better growth without the dictatorship/massive famines etc. China distorts their Econ stats, and they've been on the brink of imploding for a while (they heavily subsidize industries and over produce things like steal and entire cities). They keep doing this b/c of the political problems of laying people off. They have major problems with demographics and pension obligations.
5. Immigrants aren't stealing jobs. Americans refuse to do many jobs for the market. Industries, like agriculture, can't even get enough reliable labor when they're willing to hire illegal immigrants. Leisure has become incredibly cheap (video games , drugs, tv), and more and more Americans don't want to work (i.e. they are delusional about the value of their labor and would only take a job that would improve their status )
6. If an uneducated person from a developing country can perform your job with greater productivity, you likely suck at your job (granted, there are many things aside from your salary that affect the cost of hiring you).
A podcast , which may be of interest to you, on how trade deals are negotiated:

"So he doesn't literalyl grab them by the p*ssy?" Man. That's boring.
Here's a short radio piece in the ridiculous import tariffs of shoes. Basically, there's '30 pages' of regulations on shoes with different rates based on whether the shoes are made of canvas, leather, rubber etc and whether they're for men or women. The higher rates are up in the 30s %

Liberals insult and assault people who don't agree with them. It is no wonder that you only meet people who disagree with you online where you can't assault them.
