The context is almost certainly about the TPP. But I wouldn't label people as stupid. That is an awful, awful pr statement that can be taken to mean much more than the TPP.
You know what I see rampant in the world of runners, from amateurs, family and supporters, to professionals and all in between? With inside knowledge?
Lots of "pr" and obeying/being clever and slick and good looking with superficial rules.
Good pr, zero morals. Nope, your social media insincere fake badges of charity and viral "morals" only serves as incrimination. This is one of the most ignorant generations ever in terms of group ethics, questioning systems, seeing compound complexity. No amount of pleas or tricks can awaken the non existent instincts of a distracted and self serving "generation" (young and old). I think predestination at least means a strong base talent of moral conscience and fibre.
I bought a pair of NB Zantes about two months ago, just for casual slip ons if need to go down to the store. I then realized that I could run quicker sessions in them, this is true, they are really good even for those with flat feet. You can run at near racing flat speeds without the day after stiffness. Considering for the past two decades I had alternated between Adidas and Nike. I think the NBs are made in Vietnam though.

Why is it an awful PR statement? Because he agreed with the president elect? Are we going to boycott and vilify anyone who says something uncritical about our new President?
Because the meaning of the statement is ambiguous. It can easily be interpreted as endorsing his entire platform when that's not what the pr person meant. Heck, I'd even question the business savvy of endorsing anything to do with him.
I'm going to boycott Amazon, apple, google and Facebook because they supported Hilary. Waaa. Waaa. I'm going back to my safe space where I don't have to acknowledge that half the country thinks differently than I do.

...Someone supporting Trump can make somewhat logical arguments on many issues, but for me, rhetoric and words of hate over-ride everything. I'm sure there was a wonderful economic plan in Germany in the 30's and 40's, but there are some things that just can't be overlooked by me. So, a corporation supporting hate is not for me to support. If it is for you, say goodbye to your Muslim friend hiding in the attic, grab your daughter by the pu$$y...
Trump never made any words of hate. The Democrats just told you he did and kept repeating it so many (like you) believe it.
Why would a Muslim in the attack be in trouble with Trump? Trump is talking about Muslims from countries that we are at war with. Not Muslims that are already American or American raised.
All of your daughters will be grabbed by the p*ssy. She will also enjoy it. It is called consensual sexual activity. People touch each other. Having Trump, Hillary, or the Pope as president will not change that. Trump never said anything about sexual assault. The Democrats just told you he did.
You have been lied to and manipulated. All Trump said in that recording was that women become groupies and sluts when celebrities are around. That is not sexual assault. That is true.
I got from that statement that NB was simply relieved to have someone who would listen to them after being ignored so long about the TPP
The irony here is that Bernie was also against the TPP. He called it "disastrous". So if the dems had been smart enough to run Bernie and he had won, NB would have again released a statement thankful that we elected a candidate who sees things their way about the TPP. I bet many Liberals would be silent, many repubs would be upset. Showing that both extremes are hypocrits.

Pretty sure NB is owned by Berkshire Hathaway. Which is really Warren Buffett, who campaigned hard against Trump, harassing I'm over his taxes.
Hmm that would be Brooks

No, the meaning of the edited snippet of the quote is ambiguous. There is nothing ambiguous about a company spokesman from a company that makes (some of their) products in the USA saying that they are happy that Trump wants to do away with the TPP. I am not sure why this is even controversial. If anything, Americans should be boycotting the companies that make all of their stuff overseas.

Sorry dude, but I simply cannot kill brain cells in trying to deal with stuff like this. And some wonder how a guy who presented zero specific policies gained such support.
Doesn't Harvard wear New Balance?
Yes, Harvard wears NB, as do BU, Providence, and Dartmouth (among others).

Here are the facts.
1) New Balance is the only American shoe company that still makes any of its product in the USA.
New Balance was sued for this label back in the late 90s. The shoes are now "assembled" in the USA.
My New Balance shoes say made in Vietnam, so do the last pair of NB shoes I had. Why are they lying about being made in America? Even their shirts and sweats are made overseas. People bought their PR spin? For decades they've used sweat shop labor.
New Balance supported Trump during election. I will never buy NB again or support it athletes until
NB repudiates Trump.

I stop supporting NB and their sponsored athletes. NB needs to renounce Trump before I go back.
