Her 5K PR of 15:52 should put her around 2:35; add in marathon-specific training ... 2:30?
Did you pick yourself up off the ground yet?????????

I'd be shocked if she runs another one. Why would she?
I think she can go 2:30.

That will come as a real surprise to Scott Molina.

I would say that for her first marathon ever off of 40-50mpw it is pretty dang impressive. I believe we will see great things from her. She had never run more than 11 or 12 miles before her marathon buildup, and her longest run ever was 16 during the buildup. She kept doing swim and bike training because she and her coach agreed that changing to just running right a way would lead to injuries. We will definitely see some 2:2x marathon from her if she sticks with it.
When one races a Marathon, one is trading in on one's 1500m speed. Elite men Marathoners have raced sub-3:50 1500m or are capable of racing sub-3:50 1500m. Elite women Marathoners are capable of racing sub-4:10 1500m or have raced sub-4:10 1500m. She's 31. Doubling her mileage at her age is not going to bring her 1500m PB down low enough to make her a 2:2x Marathoner at this stage.

I ran 2:43 off of 35 miles a week. According to the math on this thread I can sub 2:25 easy.
According to your ridiculous assertion, Mo would have run 2:01 his first time out.

Thank you for this. TLDR: Despite what the Gwen hype train says the numbers unequivocally predict that Gwen has slim or no chance at OG gold. Appears there is a long history of tri gals running 2:3x which basically gives her a long shot at making the Olympic team.

Calling me insulting names is no evidence of your intellect. Mo who? There are many Mohammeds who refer to themselves as Mo. I made no prediction on others. If Jorgensen runs a fast Marathon, good for her. She won't run a sub-2:30 Marathon. Calling me dumb will not make Jorgensen run a fast Marathon.
