I'm watching ABC channel 7 (NY affiliate). They've lost their audio feed.
I hope it stays that way. It'll make for a much more enjoyable viewing experience.
The coverage is okay on Channel 7 but they take a commercial break every 2 minutes it seems.
I was hoping that if the sound continued to be off, they'd be forced to just show the race and ditch the "human interest" stories.
And now we have human interest commercials. I feel like I've seen the alcoholic guy ten times already.

I checked all the streams... they look exactly the same... saw John Brinkus the Sports science guy on all three. Are they all the same or am I missing something?

Seriously...how tall is she??
5'10"
The slow pace is forcing her to go out with the leaders though. Should be interesting to see how she responds when the pace picks up. I thought she'd let them go from the beginning, but that's tough when the first mile is 6:30 or whatever it was.
So has anyone seen any of the marathon yet?
Besides ass-kissing the mayor or whoever....
Eurosport 2 has better coverage than the NYC TV channel: http://cricfree.sc/euro-sports-2-live-stream
The Abc7 coverage looks to be espn on a tape delay
Is this what other people are seeing?
I wish Bloomberg was still mayor, liked him better.
Instead of seeing anyone running, some idiot is saying "there's competition" and "it is the 40th anniversary of the running of the five boroughs".
Wonder if anyone is racing?

DeB. is known for being late to important events. He missed the start of the elite women. They shouldn't have given him air time after that, just sent him back home to Gracie Mansion.

ABC (Channel 7) owns ESPN so the coverage should be the same.
The difference between this stream and the Chicago marathon stream is night and day. They actually showed almost the whole race in Chicago.
It feels like ESPN considers the races to be only a small part of the "marathon spectacle", which is the actual thing they're covering.
FIrst mile was 628.
2 miles in 12:12 (5:44)
live tracker says women are at 2.9mi so we should see a split soon

The delay of the race start was likely due to his motorcade.
stream coverage is complete garbage, all human interest stories and commercials, just show the running and shut up.
