Has anyone peeked under those sunglasses to confirm that Ritz is running and not Jeremy Wariner?
Anybody else see that volunteer freak out when one of the elite men tried to grab a water from them? Funny stuff.
So at 15 miles, Keitany is 20 seconds up on Chepkirui. Huddle is another 1:23 behind, so she has a lot of work to do if she's gonna move up to second. Kipyego is gaining on her for third, though -- Kipyego is only 6 seconds down.
Dathan tucked into the back of the pack. Think he's fading or just feeling things out?
it's a weird women's race. it was broken up so early and the leader isn't running that fast.
Go Molly!

Definitely does not look as strong.
Noticed that too. Looks as if the pace has picked up and I just hope he's being smart.

The random guy - #231 - who doesn't have an elite bib but was leading a second ago is Tadesse Yae Dabi . He has a 2:11 pb and we believe he's 36.
He's been crushing all of the local NY/CT road races this fall.

I imagine he's eligible for any NYRR money they have.
Kipyego into 4rd.
Keitany through 25k in 1:25:35, kipyego 1:50 behind and Huddle at 1:51
Hall into 7th + 4:25, and Conley at +4:48 Gracey at 4:55
Gonna be a long second half for Gwen, fading hard already.

Can't run a marathon on 50 miles a week. Period.
Rotich laying it on

Mergia had an awful 14th mile and Huddle has blow into 3rd!!
Can Huddle stay in top 3 or will she be caught by Kipyego who is running faster than her right now.
Kipyego has already passed Huddle.

The split is sorting itself out, but Rotich and 4 others have a gap. Ritz bridging across with the japanese runner, making it 7 in the front. Abdi gone.

ESPN missed the move, but Eurosport had it...
Ritz now goes over the top of the group, but isn't pressing any harder
Jorgenson bonking... Surprising!
