Hoka hired Mike McManus away from adidas to take the lead on their elite athlete contracting etc. Hoka must have some long term vision and capital to lure MM from adidas.

Adidas has had a limited presence in American distance running for years. Why is the person in charge of that a good hire?
Ben is what is good for the sport. With people like the Hanson's runners and Ben's NAZ, the USA distance runners can begin to compete with the European and eastern African runners.
Hoka did not hire McManus away from adidas.
McManus chose to leave adidas.
What will 2017 look like for NAZ "Elite"?
