Someone's got a bad attitude.
Even more impressive is the cyclist who fractured her back at Rio and was back to racing a month later.

Though I don't think the previous poster meant to denigrate those that don't progress to walking, I understand where you are coming from "useless bloke".
I work with survivors on a daily basis who have traumatic spine and brain injuries.
Progress is glacially slow and takes tremendous effort. Worse, each injury is unique, and attitude can be meaningless; the relatively same injury in two individuals can have two totally different outcomes.
Don't let the b*stards get you down.
I wish you the best. -
Thanks for the update. Glad to hear his rehab has produced positive results.

Glad to hear, hopefully he can get his acrobatic career back on track soon!

I hate to be a downer here but high jumpers should quit doing back flips to show off. This is not the first high profile injury that has come from a back flip by a high jumper. I am sympathetic to their plight of course. Still, I think its a really stupid way to get paralyzed.

^ I think your opinion should be shared elsewhere. The point of this thread is to share good news and wish Nieto well as he continues to progress. Not share your opinion on back flips.
Now back on topic..... Great to hear Nieto is improving. -
great to hear that he is ambulatory.
