Did Sean have a bad day or did fisher have a good one.

Discuss.
Maybe both, or maybe neither.
Well grant obviously ran good, but maybe he's actually better than Sean, although I think he had a batter day than anyone expected, his coach in the interview with Flotrack yesterday said he expected him to be "around" him(Sean) and get closer as the season goes on; that being said grant was .4 on futsem so I don't think it was a bad day for Sean but who knows.
Did McGorty necessarily try to win this? He knows when it counts.
fisher was much bedder in hi skoolwhy woodent he be bedder in colludj ?!

Mcgorty spent most of the race in the top 3 while Knight, Fisher, and Futsum all sat back a little bit until those last few K's. I feel like if Mcgorty didn't spend so much time leading, he would have done much better, most likely top 2.
According to the splits grant was always around Sean
Their coach said as much as well, but like I said grant was .4 seconds off futsem Sean couldn't do much better than that tbh
"Around" is not the same re: the wind pushing against you.

It was a tactical race and the pace was slow. McGorty didn't have the kick yesterday.
Watch the video and see how much he was exposed to the wind vs GF. Both great runners, only one race, and I am sure they are more concerned about team performance.
In the same race Garrett O'Toole was waaay back .. what happened to that guy?

When was he ever a threat in XC? He's run some good 1500's but never notable in XC.
Honestly the way I see it, Fischer was definitely better than McGorty was in HS and as a freshman and maybe he is just more talented and we're seeing it start to unfold now. Fischer ran 7:50 indoors as a frosh, won Footlocker twice, and went sub 4 in HS - McGorty was really, really good too but wasn't running those kinda times at the ages Grant was. But then again McGorty could definitely have just had a bad day too. Just a theory.
I wonder what Fisher could run in the mile right now.
