The King just said he did a tempo run in 23.34 wow you still think Knight will beat the King lol he won't

No. No he won't. Not only will Ches beat him but I will be surprised if he is top 3.
Justyn Knight is the last guy in the world to have a low ceiling. He has shown flashes of brilliance and sustained excellence from 1500m up to XC. His best distance will probably be 1500 or 5000, though. Cheserek will not lose xc at this level.

Give 10 sec per mile for grass and wind.
He said it was tempo, so it WAS a tempo.
That would be 22:44 on track in good conditions. That is 4:33/mile. Threshold pace at that pace is equal to 83 VDOT, which is 3:28/12:53/26:51.
Look for something awesome when he races hard instead of just a tempo run.
This would be called a classic case of overreacting
This is LetsRun where dreams become reality. While I don't think it'll happen he's totally looking for a top finish after that win

Not happening. Ed is the most dominant distance runner in the history of the NCAA. I'll bet the farm and the rent check on Ed. All day.
Overrated. Futsum will beat him.
Overrated.
Trump would kill ches in a wrestling match or butt grabbing contest.
Jake Tapper would beat ches in a boxing match or religious discussion.
Finally, Rupp would lap ches at least 6x in a marathon on a track or 2x in a marathon run in 1 mile circuits.
In other words, very overrated.
He will also lose ncaas. You heard it hear 2nd.
by definition, ches would come back to win that marathon.
Obviously he's gonna be up there, top 5 most likely, he was like 7th last year as well right? Winning is just a whole different thing though
Why you clownin' bro? Justyn Knight is one hell of a runner but you got to be drunk to think he can take down the King.
Of course Knight is going to have a ridiculous kick when he's winning Wisco in 23:53. The King would have taken that course in 23:33.
I mean, yeah the kick was pretty impressive, but not more so than anything we've seen from him before. It just looks more impressive in a race without Curtin or Ches.
I would love to see Ches go down but at this point do we really have any basis to bet against him? Every time NCAAs roll around, be it xc, indoor or outdoor, we always hype up another top 5 runner and wonder as to whether or not he'll beat Ches - and the answer, without fail, has been no. It would be great to see Knight win NCAAs but without Lawi or Jenkins I think its safe to argue that Ches has it in the bag.
lol
Here's the dream scenario: Cheserek doesn't want the NCAA title to come down to a kick, so he pulls a Chelenga. Futsam, Knight, et al chase, to make for one of the most thrilling finales in recent memory.

Def.
Other guys might have showed a kick, but he was the only one who ran it as an easy workout, and it was the same distance and surface as Wisco, but much faster.

Interesting, thus it obviously was not a tempo. People lie. Cheserek did, and you bought it. A tempo is the pace you can sustain for about an hour. So could Ches run sub-59 in the half right now? Nope. 4:33 might be Galen's threshold, but it's way over Cheserek's.
Really you are all under estimating the king i mean he ran a 3.50 DMR mile split about 35-40 minutes after winning either the 3 k or the 5 K at NCAA indoors. King Ches=G O A T end of thread
