Wisco Disco doesn't disappoint once again!
78 is a VERY good score for NAU. Lowest since Wisconsin scored 66 back in 2011. That Wisconsin team went on to win the national title.
For perspective, Syracuse scored 101 last year and went on to win NCAAs.
The "real" Grant Fisher was 4th...top sophomore
4 685 Grant Fisher SO Stanford 23:55.2 4:49
Should Stanford pull the RS on Ratcliffe? It wouldn't have been enough to make a difference today, but adding him would give them a bit of needed depth. (Their #6 was quite a bit back from #5)

Chris Miltenberg told Flotrack that Ratcliffe will most likely run Pac-12s.
And Baylor was the first team to have 4 in (they were in second through 4 runners). Unfortunately, that 1 minute plus gap between 4 and 5 is a killer.
Does anyone have women's 2000m splits team scores? Thank you

Grant Fischer 30th!!!???
Is he done???
Figured he would be way closer to McGorty after that WOW. So much for Stanford and their "Big 3"
What race were you watching? Maybe McGorty should be closer to Fischer next time haha. But man, I loved watching Justyn Knight absolutely destroy everyone in the last 200 though. That was nuts.
Flotrack feed not working. Ugh...will just watch the replay.

why are Letsrun.com and Flotrack always underestimate the NAU cross country team? Its not only this year, almost every year. This year flotrack ranked them #10 and Letsrun ranked them #7. They look fool now NAU the # 10 ranked team beating the # 1 ranked team by 40 point.
Team wise, the Baylor women were a big surprise They ranked only 21st finished 5th overall in a field that included 17 ranked teams and 6 other teams receiving votes. Other teams that did better than expected included #11 New Mexico (finished 4th), #19 San Francisco (finished 6th), #23 Utah (finished 7th).
Based on rankings, the Michigan State women and Boise State women disappointed. #6 Michigan State was the 4th highest ranked team coming in but they only finished 19th today. #10 Boise State was just one spot better in 18th. Boise State’s disappointment is easy to pinpoint. Allie Ostrander didn’t run. Had she run and finished up front, Boise State would have scored 270 and been 7th.
Here are the women's results but I've added in each team's national rank after their name.

Miltenburg sucks.
He had McGorty run 8 x 800m and Fischer only 6 on that FloTrack workout, thinking that McGorty is the "stud" on the team... well, Fischer takes him DOWN!!
Miltenberg won't do that again.

C'mon, think. Even if Fisher (correct spelling) is better, McGorty is a year or two farther along in his development. There are perfectly valid reasons why Fisher might be doing shorter workouts.

Or it could be, you know, that McGorty has more college seasons under his belt. Not shocking.
Haters will find anything to gripe about, though.

So you aren't a coach.
Just because Runner A is faster than Runner B does not mean that Runner A should do more volume than Runner B in intervals, long runs, or any other aspect of training. Training is individualized. Think about it and study it brother.
And he probably will do it again.
BTW, it seems to be working, right?
I'm actually a big fan of another team- but telling it like it is.
Right, smart coaching like building him up gradually, some pole level didn't get that principle unfortunately, and we also don't know how Sean was feeling today coulda been sick or just a little tired for all we know as well, and grant being faster anyway doesn't mean he should do the same workout everyone is different.

A bunch of Pac 12 teams led by UCLA and Washington State both ran much better than expected. 19 ranked teams and six other teams receiving votes in the national polls competed in the men’s race. Yet #27 UCLA managed to finish 6th overall and unranked Washington State was 11th overall. #11 Stanford finished 2nd overall although most pundits thought Stanford was way underrated as the #11 team in the country (they are #4 in the LRC fan poll).
Unranked Southern Utah deserves praise for finishing 12th as does unranked Eastern Michigan who was 17th overall - beating 5 ranked teams.
#15 Eastern Kentucky was the biggest disappointment as they were just 26th. Despite finishing 26th, Eastern Michigan actually beat a ranked team as #29 Illinois was 27th.
